"Director Magellan! Something has gone wrong!"
Little Sadi rushed over and shouted toward the toilet, which was separated by a curtain.
"Wait, wait! Don't open the curtain—just tell me from there!" A muffled voice came from inside.
"There is no time for this!" Little Sadi gritted her teeth angrily. "An enemy has infiltrated Impel Down!"
"What?! How many people?" Magellan shouted, pushing the curtain open slightly. Upon seeing the light and people outside, he quickly yanked it shut again.
"Just one!"
"One person? What's there to worry about? Send Shiryu of the Rain after him. He's been itching for a fight, hasn't he? A perfect chance to sharpen his blade."
"Head Jailer Shiryu already went," Little Sadi said through clenched teeth.
"But before he left, he told us to call you immediately. He said he definitely isn't a match for this intruder!"
Magellan's voice trembled slightly. "Shiryu said he couldn't handle him alone? Who exactly is this intruder?"
"It's Shin, the Plunderer of Devil Fruits! He's stealing the Devil Fruits from the prisoners on Level Six!"
Shin wasn't aware that Impel Down was already in chaos, but he had expected it.
Staring at a pirate frozen in a massive block of ice, Shin suddenly remembered something. "This guy… he's the World Destroyer from the movie? His More-More Fruit is incredible!"
As he pondered, black mist surged from his hands, pulling the ice-covered figure toward him. A few chunks of shattered ice scattered, and soon enough, a Devil Fruit materialized in his grasp.
"Let's see… The most valuable one should be the Mythical Zoan Nine-Tailed Fox Fruit. Then there's a Three-Headed Dog Fruit. Oh, a Logia-type Steam Fruit? Does this even count as a Logia?"
Shin chuckled. "So there's ice and steam, but no water?"
Shrugging, he glanced deeper into the prison. So far, he had gathered seven or eight Devil Fruits, but the quality far surpassed what he had taken from the upper levels.
His eyes turned to the farthest cells. The World Destroyer had been close to the deepest part of Level Six, and only two prisoners remained beyond him.
"The Red Count and the Demon Heir?"
Unlike the earlier prisoners, who had either raged or pleaded, these two simply stared at Shin with calm, knowing eyes.
"The ability to plunder Devil Fruits…" Patrick Redfield sighed. "To think that after all these years, the World Government would allow something like this."
"Hmph. You decrepit old man, why are you acting all high and mighty? You don't even have a Devil Fruit power!" Douglas Bullet, the Demon Heir, sneered.
The Red Count cast a disdainful glance at Bullet, unimpressed by his brute-force mentality. Then, he spoke without hesitation.
"The true purpose of Impel Down isn't just to imprison criminals—it's to lock away dangerous Devil Fruit users. The World Government fears certain abilities could resurface and threaten their rule."
"Keeping prisoners here is just a secondary function, a show of strength to the world. If the Government were truly ruthless, every pirate with a bounty exceeding a million berries would've been executed rather than fed at the taxpayers' expense."
"But over time, Impel Down's reputation grew. To maintain its fearsome status, they started imprisoning non-fruit users as well."
"Now that this man has stolen all the Devil Fruits… what do you think the World Government will do to us?"
Bullet wasn't the smartest, but he wasn't an idiot either. His expression darkened. "They'll kill us all?"
Shin smirked and clapped. "Great deduction. I completely agree."
The Red Count narrowed his eyes. "That reaction… You're not with the World Government, are you?"
Shin tilted his head. "Oh? What makes you say that?"
"Your demeanor is completely different from the Government's dogs," the Red Count said confidently. "And more importantly… If you were a Government agent, you wouldn't be alone. The moment the Devil Fruits were taken, a mass execution would've already begun."
Shin chuckled. "Sharp observation."
Hearing this, both Patrick Redfield and Douglas Bullet exchanged glances.
"You've gathered quite a collection of Devil Fruits," the Red Count mused.
"But leaving here won't be easy."
"Magellan's Venom-Venom Fruit makes him nearly unstoppable in a confined space like this. Even if you're top-tier in combat, getting past him will be no simple feat."
"And once the Marines get word, reinforcements will be dispatched immediately. If you don't escape within hours, you'll be facing the full force of the Marines."
Shin smiled knowingly. The Red Count wasn't just providing information—he was trying to force Shin into making a deal. By emphasizing the danger, he wanted Shin to release them as allies for a jailbreak.
"Sounds dangerous… Are you suggesting I help everyone escape?"
The Red Count nodded but then shook his head. "Not everyone. Gather those who aren't Devil Fruit users. As for the ones who are… you've already angered the Government. It would be best to eliminate them completely."
Bullet: "...?!"
At first, Bullet had been nodding along, thinking the Red Count was making sense. But when he heard the last part, his expression twisted.
Wait a minute. The Red Count didn't have a Devil Fruit. Bullet did. And he was actually suggesting Shin kill off all Devil Fruit users?!
"You bastard! We've been locked up together for twenty years, and this is how you betray me?! No wonder you've always been alone! Did you do this to all your past allies?!"
Shin clapped his hands. "Brilliant analysis. However, I refuse."
The Red Count and Bullet tensed.
Shin smirked. "If I had doubts about escaping, I wouldn't have come alone. There's no need for me to free you."
He casually took out Bullet's Clank-Clank Fruit. "As for worrying about the previous Devil Fruit users coming after me in the future? If they can escape here, then I'll be waiting for them at the sea."
He turned to leave, black mist swirling at his fingertips, his confidence unwavering.
