In the brothel, the Red Velvet House, Michelle was sitting with a cup of wine in her hand, staring at the liquid with strange eyes. The noise of the other guests couldn't reach her, nor could the voice of the singing beauty. Her brain was solely focused on the sweet scent coming from the wine.
When she first smelled the wine, she didn't think much of it, but when she noticed the sweetness of the scent, she remembered something. Her blood, Spirit Soul Blood, had a sickeningly sweet scent which could make monsters and beasts go crazy. And possessing Spirit Soul Blood enhanced a few of her natural abilities.
For example, regeneration and healing. Being drugged or drunk could be considered defects in some way. And that was why neither the alcohol nor the drug worked on her. They worked, but only for a short moment.
That was why Michelle felt a hot wave whenever she drank a cup of the drugged wine. The drug affected her for a moment before her constitution cured her of the effects.
