Chapter 1: Infinite Rewards, Rune Energy

---

Today in Piltover, the weather was quite pleasant. The blue, gold, and white color scheme brightened the mood of every citizen. The rumbling sound of steam engines served as the best alarm clock for the people of the city. As pedestrians bustled about, a grand building gleamed in the sunlight, causing all passersby to avoid it. Individuals dressed in exquisite and luxurious clothing continuously entered and exited the building.

This was the Piltover Council Hall, but it also served another purpose.

Piltover Prison.

It housed those with deep-seated crimes who were awaiting judgment.

Lin Feng felt a sharp pain in his head, instinctively thinking he might have slept in an awkward position.

But as his blurred vision gradually cleared, he was stunned to find that he was not in his familiar room. Instead, he was in a completely unfamiliar environment.

Metal walls, a heavy-looking door, cold and hard metal tables and chairs, and a narrow bed, along with the only small barred window on the wall—everything forced Lin Feng to associate his current situation with the word "prison cell."

He recalled hearing whispers just moments ago.

At first, he thought it was just dreaming, but now, as he remembered, his mood grew heavier.

Hextech explosion?

Theft case?

Criminal? Prison cell?

An idea Lin Feng was reluctant to accept crept into his mind.

Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through his head again.

Fragments of memories surged into his mind, and it took several minutes for the influx to subside.

When he finally regained his composure, Lin Feng was utterly dumbfounded.

He seemed to have crossed over.

To a place he could never have imagined.

The Valoran Continent.

Piltover.

Piltover lay in the southeastern corner of the Valoran Continent. Unlike other federal empires, it had hidden depths beneath its surface.

Zaun.

From the memories flooding in, Lin Feng learned that Piltover and Zaun were currently embroiled in an unprecedented tension due to certain reasons.

In fact, it could be said that war was imminent.

But at this critical juncture, an extraordinary case of explosion and theft had occurred.

The Hextech gem theft case.

It's important to note that Hextech technology was a monopoly of the upper class, the privileged citizens of Piltover.

This kind of explosion and theft case was not the first of its kind; the last occurrence happened before Jayce became a councilman.

The previous culprit had been the lower-class residents, the young Jinx and Vi, and it had become a focal point for the escalating conflict between the two classes.

With this case happening again, it was hard not to point fingers at the lower-class residents who had long coveted Hextech power.

Especially during such sensitive times, incidents like this acted as a trigger.

Fortunately, compared to Noxus, the people of Piltover were more rational, understanding the devastating consequences of war, and recognized that Hextech technology was not something that only the lower-class coveted.

However, to suppress public anger and provide an explanation to the injured and the citizens of Piltover, this case needed to be resolved quickly, with the culprits apprehended swiftly!

Fortunately, after the explosion a few days ago, the law enforcement officers in Piltover had directly caught the criminals at the scene.

They had been caught red-handed, with the culprits holding untriggered explosives and Hextech gems, and they had offered no resistance upon arrest.

It could be said that in recent years, this was perhaps the easiest major case Piltover had ever solved, and it was the first time such foolish criminals had appeared in the city.

And that criminal was Lin Feng himself.

Memories surged in his mind again, and Lin Feng felt cold sweat running down his back, goosebumps rising one after another.

Such incidents often led to severe consequences, and he was set to serve as a warning to others in Piltover.

Not to mention execution, exile, or life imprisonment were all likely possibilities.

While others crossed over and immediately reached the pinnacle of their lives, Lin Feng never expected that his peak would be the opposite.

Framed... it had to be a frame-up!

This incident definitely wasn't his doing; most likely, he had just been unlucky and coincidentally arrived at the scene of the accident. He had been unconscious since then, making him the scapegoat.

This wouldn't do... Lin Feng stood up, intending to knock on the door for help, trying to defend himself. He did not want to spend the rest of his life in prison.

However, just as Lin Feng got up, another sharp pain struck his head.

This time, the pain was fleeting, and a few seconds later, it faded away as a sudden voice entered his mind.

**[You have activated the Infinite Reward System]**

**[As a first-time user, you will receive a random lottery chance. Would you like to use it immediately?]**

"Who?!"

Lin Feng was startled, shouting as if he had been electrocuted, only to find that the cell was empty.

Regaining his composure, he noticed a semi-transparent panel had appeared before his eyes.

He couldn't touch it, but it seemed he could control it with his thoughts.

"System?"

Lin Feng's heart raced with excitement; fortune and misfortune were indeed intertwined.

As a modern individual, he understood perfectly what a system was.

And facing the rewards offered right from the start, Lin Feng naturally had no intention of refusing.

With a thought, a large spinning wheel appeared in front of him.

Lin Feng gritted his teeth. He didn't know what could help him escape this system, so he could only pray for something powerful. Worst case, he could break out later.

As the wheel began to spin, Lin Feng finally caught a glimpse of the contents within.

Three-phase power, Rune Echo, Perfect Hextech Core, Mark VII Combat Armor, Kryptonian Bloodline, Soul Gem... the rewards ranged from weapons and equipment to special skills, dazzling Lin Feng's eyes.

Only now did Lin Feng realize he had indeed crossed over and that his memories weren't muddled.

At least these Mark VII Combat Armor, Kryptonian Bloodline, Time Scroll, and other items definitely did not exist in Piltover; they belonged solely to Lin Feng's memories.

The spinning slowed, and Lin Feng's breathing gradually stilled as he waited, eyes fixed on the final result.

The wheel stopped.

**[You have received the reward: Rune Energy]**

**[Rune Energy: Mastering chaotic magic through orderly runes, the power contained within Rune Energy has yet to be fully measured.]**

In an instant, Lin Feng felt as if he had been electrocuted.

His eyes turned blue, and countless strange and peculiar symbols began to swirl around him, illuminating the previously dim cell.

An unprecedented power surged into Lin Feng's body; he felt alternating warmth and coldness. The Rune Energy was purging the toxins and excess fat from his body, sending a wonderful sensation coursing through his veins.

This process lasted for several minutes.

After a few minutes, Lin Feng's pupils gradually returned to normal, and the symbols slowly embedded themselves within him, hiding from view.

When Lin Feng finally examined himself, he could hardly believe his own eyes.

His physique was now muscular and well-defined, filling out his previously baggy clothes. There was not a trace of excess fat left, and even old scars from minor injuries had vanished without a trace.

If someone took a picture and said he was a top-tier celebrity, Lin Feng would have believed it. He could hardly imagine he would ever reach this point.

But this was just the surface.

What astonished Lin Feng even more was that he now wielded Rune Energy.

With a thought, blue runes danced at his fingertips.

The chaotic combinations of different runes brought forth a powerful force that sent shivers down Lin Feng's spine!

This power made Lin Feng feel confident; perhaps he could even break through the prison door and escape!

Should he do it...? Lin Feng bit his lip, momentarily at a loss.
