Griseo stared at the shocking scene before her.
She had spent the last few days with Prometheus repairing the Ark's Honkai energy furnace, even converting it into a large-scale Honkai power station to solve Froth's energy problems. Given this shared experience, plus the fact they had known each other since childhood, she considered her relationship with Prometheus No. 17 to be quite good.
But now, she felt betrayed.
"Seventeen! How could you!" Big Griseo frowned. "Why didn't you tell me you two had this kind of relationship!"
"Uh, we actually..."
"There's a reason for this!"
Brother Jun An wanted to explain that everything was Prometheus's fault, but Prometheus No. 17 spoke first.
"Everything I did was to help the Captain relieve his sexual desire."
"The villain strikes first!" Jun An wanted to cry foul. This was clearly to help you test your new body part! However, before Jun An could continue, both Griseo and Prometheus No. 17 glared him into silence.
Big Griseo: "Anyone can see what's going on! But how could you do this right behind my back!" Griseo felt like she had become a tool for their play, and she was very unhappy.
"No, the situation is somewhat different!" Prometheus stated matter-of-factly. "Because the Captain risked using the second shot of the super-mutation factor, it caused a hormonal imbalance in his body, making his sexual desire much stronger!"
"For a human, if this isn't promptly expelled from the body, it can be very detrimental to his health!"
"Side effects of being a fusion warrior?" Griseo's gaze towards Jun An instantly changed, losing all trace of reproach. After all, in the Previous Era she came from, it wasn't uncommon for people to become fusion warriors, and some did experience side effects after becoming one. For example, she herself couldn't control her powers when young, and her paintings often drove viewers mad; Auntie Mobius kept getting smaller due to snake shedding; Kosma still grew Honkai beast parts even after the super-mutation surgery was refined; Kevin's body temperature was permanently sixty degrees below zero, and so on.
"Griseo, you should understand if you look at this." Prometheus smoothly removed the cup, revealing the filling beneath – an unreasonably swollen mass, blood vessels clearly visible, a limb like an alien's, a giant thing completely incongruous with Jun An's body type.
Griseo looked at Jun An sorrowfully. "Why didn't you tell me?" She had also experienced problems resulting from becoming a fusion warrior. Thinking that Jun An had injected the second shot of the super-mutation factor for their sake and for Froth made her feel even more guilty.
"Er..." Jun An felt like every word Seventeen said was correct, yet somehow every word was also a lie. After injecting the second shot, Jun An's recovery and stamina had indeed significantly improved, and naturally, so had his libido. However, it hadn't reached an uncontrollable level that could be called a "side effect." After all, there was always someone helping him vent fire, making it even more controllable.
But faced with this white lie, Jun An immediately nodded. "It's not exactly something easy to tell you, right? Besides, I've known Prometheus longer."
"That may be true..." Griseo looked at the Captain and swallowed hard. "Then- then now that I know! Let me help?"
"That- that won't be necessary! This kind of thing, I can just endure it!" Jun An refused, suddenly feeling guilty. Although Jun An had tricked Kiana out of snacks, Bronya out of accounts, and Mei out of panties, tricking a girl into helping him get off... Jun An still possessed a human conscience.
"Sigh, no wonder you can't find a girlfriend..." Prometheus shook her head helplessly. This guy really wouldn't take advantage unless the tofu was delivered right to his mouth.
Just as Jun An was about to put the thing away, Griseo quickly stopped him. She grabbed Jun An's hand, looking at him earnestly.
"No, Dad Jun... Brother, aren't we friends?"
"Yes, that's right..."
"Then I can't just stand by and watch you suffer without doing anything!" Griseo's will was firm. "Don't worry, this is something I want to do, definitely not a rash decision!"
"But..."
"Captain, I suggest you stop talking immediately." Prometheus rubbed her forehead wearily. "Griseo, after all, has far more life experience than the average person. Since she has decided this, it certainly isn't a reckless choice." Besides, if Jun An kept refusing, it felt like Griseo would definitely burst into tears from the grievance. After all, a girl had actively offered to help him, and he was still refusing. Anyone would find such rejection unbearable.
"Alright then." Seeing that Griseo was finally no longer being timid, Jun An relented. He just didn't want her to be so casual about it. After all, unlike Theresa whom he'd known since childhood, all things considered, they had only known each other for half a month. Plus, during this time, he had mostly been contributing to Froth and playing the "Guess Who I Am" game with the Little Vitas, leaving little time to talk with Griseo.
But since things were out in the open, Jun An stood up without further ceremony, bringing his fire poker very close to Griseo's face, close enough to feel her breath.
Jun An: "Then I'll leave it to you."
