Chapter 10 - Chapter 9: The Awakening of Chaos

The Sanctuary was enveloped in an unsettling silence. After the events in the Rocky Mountains, the Bronze Knights returned exhausted but determined to uncover Nérion's plans. Maya rested in the infirmary, recovering from her injuries. Fernando, Léo, and Aisha gathered in the Sanctuary's library, surrounded by ancient books and dusty scrolls.

"There must be something here that gives us a clue about what Nérion intends," said Léo, flipping through the pages of an ancestral tome.

Aisha approached with an unrolled parchment. "I found a reference to the 'Awakening Ritual.' It says it's a process to release a dormant entity of primordial Chaos."

Fernando frowned. "So he really plans to bring Chaos back into the world."

Léo adjusted his glasses, deep in thought. "If that happens, all existence will be in danger. We need to stop this ritual."

Maya entered the room, still pale but with a determined look. "We can't waste time. We need to find out where this ritual will be performed."

Her friends looked at her with concern. "You should be resting," Aisha warned.

"I can't stay idle while the world is in danger," Maya responded firmly.

At that moment, the Grand Master entered the library, followed by Athena and Kaily of Aries. "We have new information," he announced. "Our spies have reported unusual activities at the ancient ruins of Delphi in Greece. We believe Nérion is heading there."

Athena stepped forward, her serene yet serious gaze. "Delphi is a convergence point of mystical energies. If the ritual is performed there, Chaos's power will be amplified."

Kaily crossed her arms. "The Gold Knights are on high alert, but we need the Bronze Knights to head to Delphi immediately. Your knowledge about Nérion will be crucial."

Maya nodded. "We're ready."

The journey to Delphi was swift, thanks to the Sanctuary's sacred portals. Upon arrival, they were met with a desolate scene. The ruins, once bustling with tourists, were now shrouded in thick fog, and the air was heavy with oppressive energy.

"This doesn't look good," Fernando commented, glancing around suspiciously.

Léo consulted his device. "Energy readings are off the charts. Nérion must be nearby."

Aisha closed her eyes, concentrating. "I can sense multiple presences. We're not alone."

Suddenly, shadows began to move between the ancient columns. Hooded figures emerged, surrounding them. Their eyes glowed a sinister red tone.

"Servants of Chaos," Maya said, taking a defensive stance.

One of the hooded leaders advanced. "You won't go any further. The Awakening is near, and we won't allow interruptions."

Fernando smirked. "We'll see about that."

He charged forward with speed, delivering a direct punch. His opponent blocked, but the force of the impact made him recoil. Léo and Aisha joined the fight, taking on the other servants.

Maya focused on clearing the path. "Andromeda Current!" Her chains writhed through the air, striking multiple enemies simultaneously.

Despite the Knights' skill, the servants seemed endless. "We need to reach Nérion," Léo shouted amidst the strikes. "Fighting here will only slow us down."

Aisha agreed. "Follow me! I know a path through the underground tunnels."

They strategically retreated, entering an opening between the rocks. The tunnels were narrow and dark, illuminated only by the faint light from their Armors.

"How did you know about this?" Fernando asked as they ran.

"I studied ancient maps of Delphi. These tunnels were used by the priestesses," Aisha explained.

Upon emerging from the tunnel, they found themselves in a spacious chamber lit by blue flame torches. In the center stood an ancient altar with arcane symbols. The Heart of Chaos hovered above it, radiating powerful and unstable energy. Nérion was at the altar, chanting in an obscure language.

"Nérion!" Maya shouted. "Stop now!"

He turned slowly, a cold smile on his lips. "You've arrived just in time to witness the rebirth of Chaos."

Fernando advanced, but an invisible barrier stopped him. "What is this?"

Nérion raised his hand. "You can't touch me. The ritual is almost complete, and you can't stop it."

Léo examined the barrier. "It's an energy shield. We need to break it."

Aisha closed her eyes, searching for a weak point. "There, that symbol on the ground. If we disrupt the flow, the barrier will collapse."

Maya and Fernando combined their forces. "Combined Strike!" They launched a direct attack on the symbol, which cracked under the impact.

The barrier trembled, and Nérion frowned. "Impertinent!"

He unleashed dark energy spheres. The Knights dodged, but the impact of these spheres on the ground created explosions that destabilized them.

Maya stood up, her eyes determined. "We won't give up!"

She ran toward Nérion, her chains glowing. He tried to attack her, but she dodged with agility, launching the Nebulous Current, which wrapped around his arm.

"Now!" she shouted.

Fernando and Léo took advantage of the opening. "Fox's Blue Flames!" "Sculptor's Chisel Strike!" Their attacks combined, hitting Nérion directly.

He screamed in pain, but a wave of dark energy exploded around him, throwing them backward. "You are persistent, but you can't stop the inevitable."

Aisha noticed the altar starting to glow intensely. "The ritual is reaching its climax! We need to destroy the altar!"

Before they could act, a figure emerged from the shadows. It was a woman with an ethereal appearance, dressed in a black cloak adorned with stars. Her eyes were deep and enigmatic.

"Who are you?" Maya asked, feeling a chill.

"I am Nyx, the personification of night. Nérion is my faithful servant."

The Knights felt the pressure of her cosmo. It was overwhelming.

Nérion knelt before her. "My goddess, the ritual is almost complete."

Nyx looked at the Knights indifferently. "You can't do anything against me."

Fernando tried to attack but was stopped by an invisible force. "I can't move!"

Léo struggled to think of a solution. "We need help."

Suddenly, a golden light filled the chamber. Kaily of Aries, along with other Gold Knights, appeared beside them.

"Kaily! Rainer! Salazar!" Aisha exclaimed with relief.

Rainer of Sagittarius advanced. "We arrived in time."

Nyx observed them, impassive. "Gold Knights. Interesting."

Kaily addressed the Bronze Knights. "You did well in delaying them. Now, leave the rest to us."

An epic battle ensued. The Gold Knights combined their cosmos, launching powerful attacks against Nyx and Nérion. The hall trembled with the intensity of the blows.

Maya and the others retreated, but Maya noticed the altar continuing to glow. "Even with the fight, the ritual hasn't stopped!"

Léo looked at the altar. "We need to destroy the energy focus."

Aisha agreed. "Let's combine our powers."

The three united in front of the altar. Maya elevated her cosmo to the maximum. "Nebulous Storm!"

Fernando channeled his flames. "Fox's Celestial Flame!"

Léo concentrated his energy. "Sculptor's Earthquake!"

Their attacks converged, hitting the altar with full force. The impact created a brilliant explosion that blinded everyone.

As the light faded, the altar was in pieces, and the glow had ceased.

Nyx stopped abruptly, feeling the interruption of the ritual. "What have you done?"

Kaily took advantage of the distraction. "Stellar Revolution!" A wave of energy struck Nyx, causing her to recoil.

Nérion screamed in desperation. "No! This can't happen!"

Nyx looked at him with disdain. "You failed me."

Before he could respond, she vanished into a cloud of shadows.

Nérion fell to his knees, defeated. The Knights surrounded him.

"It's over, Nérion," Maya declared.

He looked up, tears of anger in his eyes. "You may have won today, but darkness always finds a way to rebirth."

Rainer approached him. "As long as there is light, we will be here to combat it."

At the Sanctuary, the Knights gathered to celebrate their victory. Athena thanked everyone for their efforts.

"You demonstrated courage and unity. I'm proud of each one of you."

Maya smiled at her friends. "We did it together."

Fernando raised a glass. "To our friendship and the protection of the world!"

Everyone toasted, feeling a relief they hadn't experienced in a long time.

Léo approached Aisha. "Do you believe this is really over?"

She looked to the horizon. "For now, yes. But we must remain vigilant."

In a distant realm, deep within the darkness, Nyx walked through a shadowy hall. "They are stronger than I imagined."

A voice echoed from the shadows. "Don't worry. We still have time. Chaos is patient."

Nyx smiled enigmatically. "Yes. And when they least expect it, eternal night will fall upon them."
