Chapter 322: Disciplining the Son (Part 2)

Although Charlotte wasn't using his full strength, just the fact that Caesar could withstand even a portion of his blows was already impressive.

Caesar was sent flying into the ropes again but quickly regained his footing.

"Dad! That's too much!"

He steadied himself and glared at Charlotte.

"Oh? And what if I am?"

Charlotte casually rotated his wrists and beckoned with a smug grin.

"You bastard!"

Furious, Caesar lunged forward with a fist that howled through the air.

Charlotte merely tilted his head slightly, easily dodging it, then raised his knee—

Bang!

Caesar doubled over and was flung back again.

"With strength like that, you dare talk back to me?"

Charlotte snorted and crooked his finger again, taunting him.

By now, the other children had gathered, watching this family drama unfold.

Many of the younger ones watched their older brother get pummeled with a mix of pity and silence.

Caught napping during training? What an unlucky day to get caught.

Tesla, watching from below, felt a deep sense of guilt as he watched his brother get beaten black and blue.

"Damn it!"

Caesar slammed his fist into the ground, fury burning in his eyes.

"Oh? All you know how to do is get angry? You think you're hot stuff? Is this all you've got?"

Charlotte continued to provoke him.

Enraged, Caesar stood back up.

"Stop looking down on me!"

His body suddenly expanded—from 1.7 meters to over three meters tall.

He transformed into his half-dragon form, his entire body covered in shimmering blue scales. His vertical pupils dilated wide.

"Sky-Ripping Claw!"

His sharp claws slashed toward Charlotte's face.

But Charlotte didn't move.

He calmly extended a single finger and pointed it at Caesar's palm.

Tap.

Caesar's claw came to a dead halt. It couldn't move a single inch further.

Sweat dripped from his forehead.

"So soft and weak."

Charlotte yawned, clearly unimpressed.

Then, with a casual flick of his finger, Caesar was knocked back.

"Even your strength is disappointing."

Charlotte said with disdain.

Caesar didn't respond. One attack failed—he launched another.

Frenzied.

He charged again and again, only to be sent flying each time.

After more than a dozen repetitions, Charlotte sighed.

He had to admit—the Mythical Zoan Azure Dragon Form truly had terrifying endurance and healing.

"Huff… huff… huff…"

Caesar panted heavily. A fierce pressure began to emanate from him.

His eyes glowed red. A faint trace of Conqueror's Haki leaked from his body.

Charlotte's eyes gleamed.

"Don't stop now! Keep going! Show me what you've got!"

He beckoned once more.

Caesar, eyes bloodshot, charged with a furious roar.

Charlotte didn't hold back—he beat him senseless in front of all his siblings.

He grabbed Caesar's dragon tail and slammed him back and forth across the ring like a ragdoll.

Eventually, Caesar could no longer maintain his transformation and reverted to human form.

"Everyone else is training hard. And what were you doing? Sleeping! You think a few dead pirates makes you a big shot? Cocky little punk!"

Charlotte growled as he hurled Caesar across the mat.

For the first time, Caesar's face was bloodied.

He lay motionless.

All around, the room had gone quiet. No one dared breathe.

Then—the wives arrived.

"Charlotte!"

Illyana stormed in, eyes blazing with fury.

Though Caesar wasn't her biological son, she'd helped raise him. Seeing him beaten like this, she was enraged.

"Neichen! Someone get Neichen—hurry!"

She barked orders to the nearby maids, and one immediately ran off.

"What the hell is wrong with you, Charlotte?!"

Illyana rushed to Caesar's side.

"This has nothing to do with you. If I don't teach him now, when will he learn? Everyone's training, and he's sleeping like a log. If I hadn't come to check, I wouldn't have even known!"

Charlotte's voice was sharp with frustration—even though he was clearly shaken inside.

"So what if he was sleeping? You didn't have to go that far!"

Illyana cradled Caesar as Marsha sobbed, hugging her son.

"I just wanted him to understand—killing a few weak pirates isn't enough to get cocky! The world respects power, and as a Rockefeller, he's destined for more than ordinary life! With that attitude, he'll get himself—and others—killed!"

Charlotte scolded bitterly, fists clenched.

Caesar opened his eyes slightly, trying to speak—but coughed up a mouthful of blood and passed out.

"Caesar! Caesar!!"

Marsha screamed in panic, but he didn't respond.

Soon, Neichen arrived.

When she saw Caesar's condition, she gasped.

"Good heavens…"

She glanced nervously at Charlotte, then quickly knelt to check Caesar's vitals.

After a moment, she exhaled in relief.

"He's fine. Just minor injuries. No serious damage. With a few days of rest, he'll be okay."

Neichen gave Marsha a reassuring nod.

Marsha let out a shaky breath.

No one noticed that Charlotte's brows had also subtly relaxed.

He hadn't really meant to injure Caesar this badly.

But seeing the son he had such high hopes for slacking off—that had made him snap.

Everyone else was pushing themselves, yet Caesar had chosen to nap.

Charlotte had been furious.

He looked at Caesar one last time—then turned and left.

He knew Illyana would only continue to scold him, and he didn't feel like arguing.

The others quickly followed his lead and exited.

No one dared to discuss what had just happened.

Who would gossip about the captain's family matters? That would be suicidal.

Caesar was carried off by Illyana and the others.

Soon, the training room rang once more with the sound of steel and effort.

No one dared to slack.

Charlotte's message had been received loud and clear:

If you're going to slack off, you better have the strength to back it up.
