The next morning, Shu Wan hadn't even woken up when she heard her door being pounded fiercely.
"Get up, get up, what time do you think it is to still be sleeping in?" Fu Yang's voice came from outside the door, filled with urgency.
Shu Wan yawned and glanced at the time—it was only 7 AM.
She was somewhat surprised, as Fu Yang usually needed the servants to call him several times before he would reluctantly get out of bed, but today was oddly different.
"Wait a second," Shu Wan called out to him.
Fu Yang quieted down for a moment, then knocked forcefully on the door again. "I'll give you ten minutes. If you're not ready by then, I'm leaving without you."
After that, it quieted down outside.
Shu Wan got up, changed her clothes, and after a quick wash, stepped out.
Contrary to her expectations, Fu Yang hadn't gone downstairs but was sitting at the door, holding a notebook.
