Chapter 53 - Chapter 53: The Fall of a Tyrant

Jin stood amidst the battlefield, his Abyssal energy distorting reality itself. The air crackled with pure, unrestrained power, and the Founder—once an untouchable deity—stood before him, his expression unreadable. The ground beneath them had long since shattered, floating in fragments, suspended in the overwhelming energy surging through the air.

The battle had reached its peak.

Jin clenched his fists, feeling the sheer dominance of his new form. The power coursing through him was beyond anything he had ever imagined. He no longer needed to dodge, defend, or react. The laws of reality bent to his will, and the Founder, for the first time in his immortal existence, looked… uncertain.

"This is your end," Jin said, his voice echoing through the battlefield.

The Founder narrowed his eyes. "You still don't understand. Power alone does not decide the outcome of a battle."

Jin smirked. "Then I'll prove you wrong."

He vanished and appeared behind him. Before found could react something Jin teleported him and also himself.

In less than a fraction of a second, Jin's fist connected with the Founder's chest, sending him hurtling across the battlefield. The shockwave obliterated everything in its path. But before the debris could settle, Jin was already there again, appearing above the Founder and delivering another devastating blow.

The Founder crashed into the ground with such force that the very land fractured, deep chasms forming as energy erupted into the sky. Yet, even as his body cracked under the relentless assault, he remained alive.

Jin lifted his hand, preparing to end it.

And then—

It happened.

A sudden, terrifying emptiness overtook him.

His Abyssal energy flickered. His overwhelming power—the strength that had made him feel invincible—vanished.

Jin staggered back, his vision blurring. His limbs suddenly felt heavy, his strength fading like water slipping through his fingers.

"No…" Jin muttered, confusion and dread sinking into his gut.

The Founder slowly rose from the rubble, his divine presence unchanged. He cracked his neck, a smirk forming on his bloodied lips.

"Did you really think I wouldn't plan for this?" the Founder said, stepping forward. His body still bore the wounds from Jin's previous attacks, but the balance had shifted entirely. "Your power was unnatural—something that should never have existed. And now, as expected, it has collapsed under its own weight."

Jin gritted his teeth. His body still ached from the sheer exertion of wielding such overwhelming strength, but now he had nothing left. No more abyssal energy. No more reality-warping abilities. He was mortal once again.

The Founder raised his hand, dark energy gathering in his palm.

"Now, it's over."

Before Jin could react, a devastating force slammed into his chest, sending him flying across the battlefield. His body crashed through the remnants of the broken land, tumbling uncontrollably before coming to a stop. Blood dripped from his lips, and his entire body felt like it was being crushed under an immeasurable weight.

He tried to stand.

But the Founder was already above him.

A brutal kick struck Jin's ribs, launching him into the air before another blast of divine energy sent him plummeting back down. The impact left a crater, and Jin struggled to even breathe.

"Now do you understand?" the Founder's voice was calm, almost mocking. He floated above the battlefield like an untouchable god, his presence suffocating. "Your power was never yours to keep. You were merely borrowing something beyond your comprehension. And now that it's gone, you are nothing but a broken warrior."

Jin tried to rise, his fingers digging into the ground, but his body refused to move. This couldn't be happening.

He had been so close—so close to victory.

And now, he was about to lose everything.

The Founder descended, his hand crackling with pure destruction.

"This is your end."

Jin closed his eyes for a moment, his mind racing. He had nothing left. No more power. No more overwhelming strength.

But he wasn't done yet.

If he was going to die, he would take the Founder with him.

With the last ounce of his strength, he moved.

The Founder's hand came down—aiming for his heart.

But Jin dodged.

Summoning every last bit of his willpower, he twisted his body just enough to avoid a fatal strike. The Founder's attack still tore through his shoulder, sending a new wave of agony through him, but he gritted his teeth through the pain.

And in that instant—he struck back.

With his remaining strength, Jin's hand pierced through the Founder's chest.

The world froze.

The Founder's eyes widened. Blood spilled from his mouth as he looked down at the wound—a wound that should not have been possible.

"You…" he whispered.

Jin twisted his arm, forcing the last remnants of his strength into the attack. "You talk too much."

The Founder staggered back, his divine energy flickering. His body trembled as cracks began to spread across his form.

Jin fell to his knees, his vision growing darker. His body was broken, his strength depleted. He had won—but at what cost?

The Founder coughed up blood, stumbling. His divine presence was fading, his power unraveling. He was dying.

But even as he fell, a faint chuckle escaped his lips.

"You think… this is the end?" The Founder's voice was weak, but there was something haunting about it. He lifted his gaze, staring directly at Jin. "You still don't know the truth."

Jin barely had the energy to respond, but the Founder continued.

"You are not alone… Your blood… It is not the only one that carries the Abyss."

Jin's eyes widened slightly. What was he talking about?

The Founder coughed again, his body crumbling like ash. "Your sister… She is still alive."

Jin's breath hitched.

"Sister?" he repeated, barely above a whisper.

The Founder gave a weak, knowing smile. "The cycle… is not yet over."

And with that—his body vanished, fading into nothingness.

Jin knelt there, his mind reeling. The battle was over. The Founder was dead.

But his words echoed endlessly in Jin's mind.

sister…?

The war had been won. But now, a new mystery had begun.
