Chapter 208 - Chapter 207: The Exceptional "Twenty"

At this moment, Pandora approached Peroroncino.

"My deepest apologies, Lord Peroroncino. I failed to keep that guy in check!"

"No need to apologize. The fault lies with my plan—I never considered that their goal was simply to silence witnesses!"

"Lord Peroroncino, are you planning to go inside?" Pandora asked.

"I'm still debating whether or not to go in."

"Lord Peroroncino, your safety is the top priority. Please refrain from entering. Allow me to go in your stead!"

Pandora clenched his right fist and struck it against his chest, his German military uniform making him look solemn and resolute—just one step away from saying, "Dedicate your heart!"

"Lord Peroroncino, I will dedicate my heart to you!" Pandora blurted out the line without hesitation.

Peroroncino stared at the serious expression on Pandora's face after hearing that dramatic line. In that moment, he didn't find Pandora cringeworthy; instead, his own chuunibyou spirit flared up.

"Alright, you go in then!"

After a moment of hesitation, Peroroncino decided to let Pandora go assist Shalltear. He had no intention of entering himself.

Having narrowly escaped death before, Peroroncino had grown exceptionally cautious.

Without solid intel on what was inside, he wouldn't risk himself recklessly.

Not long after, Mare also caught up to them.

"I'm terribly sorry, Lord Peroroncino. I was too slow!"

"It's fine! No big deal. Mare, do you know what these plants are?" Peroroncino asked.

Peroroncino was certain these plants weren't from the game.

Outside of the game, his knowledge about such things was extremely limited.

"Please wait a moment, Lord Peroroncino!"

Mare closed his eyes, and small green light particles began to gather from the surrounding earth and converge around him.

As a Druid specializing in forest rituals, Mare had a deep understanding of plants.

Although he hadn't encountered many plants from the outside world, his plant affinity skill allowed him to conduct a basic investigation.

Through this, he could determine the general nature of the plants.

Time ticked by as Mare completed his investigation.

Finally, he opened his eyes.

"Lord Peroroncino, these plants are extremely poisonous. I can't gather much more information—these things might be on a level higher than mine."

"Higher than Mare? Doesn't that mean… a level 100 Boss?"

In the game, once players reached level 100, they could challenge max-level bosses.

However, max-level bosses weren't something a single player could handle. While the boss level was technically 100, their stats and abilities were equivalent to a level 120 player.

These bosses had overwhelmingly high attributes and were referred to as World Bosses.

The illusions before Peroroncino suggested the presence of a World Boss.

His expression grew grave.

Where there was one World Boss, a second often followed.

This was no longer a problem he could handle alone.

Peroroncino quickly contacted Momonga and his sister, Bukubukuchagama.

Upon hearing the news, the two wasted no time and rushed to Peroroncino's location.

"Peroroncino, are you certain it's a World Boss?" Momonga asked.

In the game, World Bosses typically stayed in fixed locations and wouldn't actively attack players.

However, when players needed rare and powerful items, they'd have to farm them from these bosses.

Defeating a World Boss usually required at least five top-tier players working together.

In the past, Touch Me, a member of the Ainz Ooal Gown guild, led a team that managed to defeat a World Boss with just four players.

During that battle, Touch Me essentially performed the role of two players by himself.

Such a feat required immense skill, and Touch Me was purely a technical player, relying entirely on precise mechanics and execution rather than strategies others could easily replicate.

In PvP, Touch Me was nearly undefeated, and the rare instances he did lose were due to physical exhaustion rather than a lack of skill.

Peroroncino recounted everything that had happened to Momonga and Bukubukuchagama.

After hearing his account, Bukubukuchagama scolded him sternly.

After all, Peroroncino was the only family Bukubukuchagama had left, and she deeply cared for him.

When they were younger, their parents were often too busy with work to look after them.

Every night, their parents would return home long after the siblings had fallen asleep, and by the time the two woke up in the morning, their parents had already left again.

Although they technically had parents, it felt almost as if they didn't.

This long period of reliance on one another created an unbreakable bond.

Bukubukuchagama had always been a child who longed for familial affection, and she poured all of her emotions into Peroroncino.

However, she poured so much into him that it became difficult for her to be interested in any other man.

Of course, her feelings remained pure and familial—she and Peroroncino were nothing more than siblings.

It was just that her care and concern for her brother sometimes went overboard.

Peroroncino didn't respond to her scolding, and after a while, Bukubukuchagama stopped as well, realizing she was being a bit too naggy.

After all, Peroroncino was an adult with his own thoughts and decisions, and she had to respect that.

Despite knowing this, she still couldn't help but worry about him.

Bukubukuchagama had also wondered if Peroroncino might have feelings for her because, in the game, the girls Peroroncino liked often resembled her in real life—they were petite, had a loli-like appearance, and were flat-chested.

However, every time Peroroncino bought an H-game voiced by Bukubukuchagama herself, he would show clear disdain.

The soundproofing in their home wasn't great, so whenever Peroroncino played those games without headphones, Bukubukuchagama could hear everything.

Sometimes, she would even secretly check on him to see his reactions.

Every time she noticed Peroroncino losing interest the moment he realized it was her voice in the game, she felt both happy and sad.

She was happy because it showed Peroroncino was normal—he didn't have any questionable feelings toward her and couldn't get into content featuring her voice.

But she was also sad because her voice seemed so off-putting to him that he didn't even have the interest to keep playing.

Bukubukuchagama understood her feelings were contradictory, but they were her truest emotions, and she couldn't control herself from thinking about these things.

Back to the main story—after a discussion among Peroroncino, Bukubukuchagama, and Momonga, the three decided to enter and investigate the area together.

However, they agreed to make thorough preparations beforehand.

Demiurge was temporarily put in charge of Nazarick's affairs, while Renner was assigned to handle the Sorcerer Kingdom's matters.

The team consisted of Peroroncino, Bukubukuchagama, Momonga, Victim, Sebas, Cocytus, Mare, and Aura.

At Bukubukuchagama's strong insistence, they brought along two World-Class Items known as the "Twenty."

Nazarick possessed only two of these legendary artifacts, and both were brought along—one entrusted to Peroroncino and the other to the Sorcerer King (Momonga).
