In the two hundred years of the Empire's history, there had always been numerous invasions by the Catastrophe Legion. Given any chance, these brutally vicious fellows would pounce on the Empire's walls and fiercely tear a chunk of flesh from the Empire. To repel them, the Empire often had to pay a hefty price.
