Chapter 219 - Chapter 34: Madara: I'm Done

"Edo Tensei!"

With Kabuto's hand seals, coffins began rising from the ground one after another. Each one contained a legendary warrior who had once made their mark on the ninja world.

"The resurrection of Konoha's previous Hokage failed? Did something happen after I left?" Kabuto frowned in confusion.

Especially the First Hokage—that was an incredibly powerful asset. However, if they couldn't be summoned, there was nothing he could do.

"So this is what you've been up to all this time? Collecting this many 'materials'?" Obito observed with a hint of appreciation. Right now, they were in desperate need of high-level combat power, and Kabuto's arrival couldn't have been better timed.

But Kabuto simply smiled. "You haven't even seen the real masterpiece yet."

As soon as his words fell, one particular coffin's wooden panel suddenly shattered. A man clad in crimson armor stepped out on his own, exuding an aura of dominance and cruelty.

"So, I've finally been revived? Took that fool Obito long enough."

Then, he noticed something was off. Lowering his gaze, he saw the cracks and patchwork on his hands.

"Edo Tensei? Are you kidding me?!"

Madara grumbled in dissatisfaction before finally looking around to assess his surroundings.

The first thing he saw was Uchiha Obito standing to the side. "What's going on?"

"Why did you use Edo Tensei to bring me back? Did something go wrong with the plan?"

Obito hesitated. Saying things had "gone wrong" was putting it lightly—the entire ninja world had changed so quickly that he, once the mastermind, was now playing second fiddle to someone else.

Now, he could only survive by relying on Moryo's favor.

"Ahem." Obito cleared his throat. "Yes, there were... some complications. Our enemies are far stronger than expected."

He was about to continue when Madara cut him off with a snort.

With his arms crossed over his chest, Madara looked unimpressed. "Even after inheriting my Rinnegan, you're still this useless?"

"Forget it. Hand over the other Rinnegan—I'll deal with these nuisances myself."

"Uh... well... about that..." Obito scratched his head. "The other Rinnegan was stolen. We can't get it back."

"Huh?" Madara's brows furrowed. "You lost the Rinnegan? Now I'm starting to question whether choosing you to execute my plan was the right decision."

"Fine. I'll retrieve it myself."

Without another word, Madara began striding forward with supreme confidence, as if he didn't even acknowledge Obito's presence. As for Kabuto, the one who performed Edo Tensei, he didn't even glance at him.

At that moment, Zetsu emerged from the ground ahead. "Madara-sama!"

"The person who has the other Rinnegan is the Jinchūriki of the Ten-Tails! You won't stand a chance!" White Zetsu blurted out.

"WHAT?!"

Madara's eyes widened in rage. Was there actually someone besides Hashirama whom he couldn't defeat?!

What was wrong with this White Zetsu? Did he not understand the art of speaking tactfully?

Madara was just about to grab White Zetsu by the throat when something made him freeze in place.

"Wait, wait, wait! Did you just say that the Ten-Tails has already been revived—and someone has become its Jinchūriki?!"

Unbelievable! Obito and Black Zetsu had been plotting for years, collecting the Tailed Beasts for this exact purpose.

And yet, they let someone else steal the prize and become the Ten-Tails' Jinchūriki?!

Obito rubbed his nose awkwardly under Madara's intense gaze.

It's not that we didn't try—it's just that the enemy was too damn strong!

But Madara had no interest in hearing excuses. To him, those were just the words of the weak.

"Tell me, then—what do we still have?"

"Madara-sama, we still have plenty of resources!" White Zetsu quickly reassured him. "Look, we have an army of Edo Tensei warriors, a hundred thousand White Zetsu, and at least one Rinnegan left."

Madara finally exhaled, somewhat appeased. It seemed they still had a fighting chance.

"Alright. Gather everyone—we're going to meet this so-called Ten-Tails Jinchūriki."

Pride filled his chest. He had Hashirama's cells, the Rinnegan, and now, he was supposed to be afraid of some Ten-Tails Jinchūriki? Ridiculous.

"Ahem." Obito coughed awkwardly. "About that... We need Moryo-sama's permission before we can leave."

"Moryo? And you're calling him 'sama'? You need his permission?!" Madara felt his head buzz. What the hell was happening?!

It looked like Obito and Black Zetsu had become someone else's subordinates.

How had they fallen so low?

"Moryo... Isn't that just some spirit from the Land of Demons? You're telling me you couldn't even handle him?" Madara asked, confused. In his mind, only the legendary Sage of Six Paths could possibly surpass him.

"I need to see for myself just how strong this Moryo is, that he dares to keep my subordinates on a leash!" Madara declared arrogantly.

"No, Madara-sama, wait! You're no match for Moryo-sama!" White Zetsu shouted in a panic, trying to stop him.

But Madara ignored him and stormed outside.

And then…

A series of earth-shattering crashes echoed from outside, followed by Madara's enraged roars. Moments later, he was unceremoniously thrown back into the cave, his face full of disbelief.

"Madara-sama, are you alright?" White Zetsu peered down at him with concern.

Madara's face twitched. Thankfully, Edo Tensei didn't allow him to blush, or else he'd die of embarrassment.

Damn it! I, Uchiha Madara, a legend in my own right…

I must endure.

For the sake of the Eye of the Moon Plan, I must bide my time!

"Obito, begin the operation!"

A booming voice resonated from outside—it was Moryo.

Obito and Zetsu immediately began summoning hordes of White Zetsu from underground.

Watching them obey so quickly made Madara grit his teeth in frustration.

"One's Own Life Reincarnation!"

This was the backup plan all along—if the Rinnegan couldn't be used to revive Madara, then they would use the One's Own Life Reincarnation instead.

This technique consumed the life force of the caster, but White Zetsu were expendable. Using them to resurrect Madara was no problem.

As the process began, Madara could feel warm blood flowing through his veins again. But instead of feeling triumphant, all he could think about was how he had somehow been reduced to a mere underling.

"Deploy our forces to the Uzushiogakure battlefield, the Land of Hot Water battlefield, and launch a raid on the Tenjin Village headquarters."

"As for the Land of Demons, leave it alone."

Moryo was here—there was no need to worry about that area. More importantly, they had to guard against Itachi's Kotoamatsukami. If they let him get to Madara, things could go sideways fast.

Moryo turned to Madara, infusing his body with a dark, terrifying power. This was the true reason for reviving him—only a living body could properly receive this power.

"Take my power and destroy everything."

"...Understood." The ever-proud Uchiha Madara endured the humiliation and accepted his role.
