In an instant, Sasuke slammed his black rod onto the ground. Though the weapon looked slender, its power was astonishing. A single strike shattered the earth, carving a long crack that snaked straight ahead.
The Second Mizukage scrambled up from the ground. Thankfully, his reaction had been swift in that crucial moment, allowing him to barely dodge the blow.
He looked up, staring at the fissure that stretched over ten meters before him, and swallowed nervously. Suddenly, a faint breeze brushed past his face.
Sasuke appeared directly at his side.
This wasn't any Flying Thunder God Technique; dealing with these small fry didn't warrant using a jutsu of that caliber. Sasuke had simply used the Body Flicker Technique!
In a flash, utilizing the Body Flicker, he arrived beside the Second Mizukage, swinging the black rod in his hand straight towards the man's face.
But in the next second, the Third Mizukage, also using Body Flicker, intervened, blocking Sasuke's attack. He deflected the black rod with a kunai.
Sasuke frowned slightly, looking at the Third Mizukage. This particular Kage seemed quite mysterious, with little background provided even in the original accounts. However, having once been the Second Mizukage's guard, his skills were clearly substantial. He looked like a gentle, refined man, yet his Taijutsu seemed formidable.
"Impressive Taijutsu!"
The Third Mizukage's expression was grave. He didn't respond or acknowledge Sasuke's comment. Instead, he swiftly drew another kunai with his free hand, thrusting it directly at Sasuke's chest.
Sasuke lightly tilted the other end of his black rod, effortlessly blocking this kunai as well.
The Third Mizukage hadn't expected Sasuke to neutralize his attack with such a simple maneuver. Conversely, Sasuke still had a hand free to attack. At this rate, the one in danger would be... him...
'Water Style: Stiffening Vortex Water Lance!'
Swish! In the next moment, water gathered, instantly swirling upwards. In a fraction of a second, it formed a watery spear in Sasuke's hand.
Sasuke offered the Third Mizukage a smirk. Crash!
With a swift motion, he thrust the Hard Vortex Water Lance, slamming it violently into the Third Mizukage's abdomen.
The Third Mizukage was sent flying instantly. As his body soared through the air, the water suddenly erupted, transforming into a massive watery tornado that swept towards the other side of the island.
Watching the vortex rage through the air like a tempest, unleashing terrifying roars, Boruto and the others were stunned.
"What kind of Water Style Ninjutsu was that?"
The three of them stared, utterly dumbfounded.
With the Third Mizukage blown away, the Second Mizukage immediately reacted.
He raised his hand towards Sasuke.
'Water Style: Water Gun Jutsu!'
Bang!
A sound like a gunshot rang out as a single droplet of water shot forth. Don't underestimate this tiny drop; its power was easily comparable to a pistol bullet.
Caught by such a sudden attack at close range, even using Body Flicker wouldn't be fast enough for Sasuke to evade.
However!
Sasuke, possessing the Sharingan, had already seen through the Second Mizukage's movements and taken evasive action beforehand. To the others, it looked as if Sasuke had avoided the hit by a hair's breadth.
He even spun around, thrusting the black rod directly at the Second Mizukage, striking him firmly on the collarbone. A dull thud echoed as the Second Mizukage stumbled backward.
At that moment, the Fourth Mizukage, swinging his strange, hooked weapon, charged aggressively at Sasuke, managing to momentarily pin him down.
Elsewhere, Mei Terumi sighed softly to herself. She had to join the fight. Letting things continue like this, watching the three Kage lose, wasn't a viable option.
With that thought, Mei leaped into action.
Her hand seals were incredibly fast. "Fourth, get clear!"
The Fourth Mizukage, already under immense pressure fighting Sasuke – having truly felt the terrifying force of Sasuke's Taijutsu after just a few exchanges – found himself barely holding on.
The Fifth Mizukage's call came just in time.
He quickly flipped backward, dodging out of the way.
"Lava Style: Lava Monster Jutsu!"
Suddenly, crimson lava surged forward. Sasuke looked up, finding himself almost instantly enveloped.
Seeing this, Boruto and his teammates felt their hearts clench.
That was a Kekkei Genkai! The power of this jutsu looked immense. Surrounded like this, Sasuke would likely have to unleash his true strength to escape!
Yet, in the next second, a rumbling sound erupted.
'Earth Style: Mud Wall!'
An earthen wall instantly rose, bursting through the lava. It was immediately followed by the powerful sound of rushing water as currents surged forth.
'Water Style: Water Wall!'
Two forces erupted simultaneously, easily blocking Mei Terumi's attack. Amidst the watery curtain formed by the clashing forces...
Thump! Thump!
Two figures burst out, one from the left and one from the right. They converged on Mei Terumi in the air.
Seeing two Sasukes appear suddenly, Mei felt a surge of panic. Then, she noticed something: the Sasuke on the left held the black rod, while the one on the right did not.
Boruto and the others noticed this detail too. Clearly, the one on the left was the real Sasuke, and the one on the right must be a clone.
But in the next instant, Mei whipped her head around, facing the Sasuke on the right.
"Boil Style: Skilled Mist Jutsu!"
While airborne, Mei spewed a large cloud of highly corrosive mist from her mouth.
At this moment, Sasuke smiled. He raised a hand, unleashing a blast of Wind Style that blew directly into the oncoming mist, dissipating the jutsu. Simultaneously, the clone, wielding the black rod, closed in on Mei.
As the clone swung the rod down, Mei easily dodged.
"`Huh? The one on the right was the real one?"
Boruto and the others were astonished. He intentionally gave the weapon to the clone to make others mistake it for the original? Did he come up with that plan the instant his vision was obscured?
Unfortunately for him, she saw through it. As expected of a Mizukage.
Suddenly, the sound of crackling lightning filled the air, like the chirping of a thousand birds. In a flash, Sasuke, his hand engulfed in black Chidori, shot straight towards Mei Terumi.
While dodging the clone's attacks, Mei kept a close watch on the real Sasuke's movements.
The Second Mizukage appeared abruptly, grabbing Sasuke's clone.
"Don't forget about us!"
He raised his hand towards the clone's head.
Water Style: Water Gun Jutsu!
Seeing this, Mei instantly sensed trouble. "Don't—"
Bang!
The clone was destroyed with one shot.
However, the moment the clone dispersed, lightning erupted violently, instantly paralyzing both the Second and Fifth Mizukage!
The Fourth Mizukage's eyes widened in shock. 'A Lightning Style Shadow Clone? Damn it... the weapon was just a feint!'
A Lightning Style Shadow Clone possessed no real offensive power; apart from paralyzing enemies with lightning upon self-destruction, it posed no actual threat. Any simple ninjutsu could eliminate it.
Watching Sasuke charge straight towards the now immobile Second and Fifth Mizukage, who were completely unable to retaliate or flee, the Fourth knew he had to act.
The Fourth Mizukage accelerated rapidly, hurtling towards Sasuke's back.
"You won't succeed!"
Leaping into the air, the Fourth Mizukage swung his weapon down viciously towards Sasuke's back.
However, in the next second, Sasuke stopped abruptly, turning his head to look back at the airborne Fourth Mizukage.
"Up there in the air! You can't dodge attacks, you know!"
"Chidori... Sharp Spear!"
A beam of black lightning instantly pierced through the Fourth Mizukage's body.
At the same time, just as the Second and Fifth Mizukage behind Sasuke were regaining movement, Sasuke turned back towards them. He lightly pointed a finger through the air.
'Lightning Style: Discharge!'
Lightning leaped from his fingertip, striking both targets with pinpoint accuracy.
Black lightning flashed. Sasuke versus four – a complete victory.
