Chapter 275 - Veela and Mascot

"Hello, clever little witch, I don't think I asked your name last time."

Fudge looked at Irina and greeted her with a smile.

Irina stood up and bowed politely to the Minister of Magic. She said calmly, "Irina Lovell, Minister Fudge."

Fudge smiled and nodded, saying, "Okay, Miss Lowell, I didn't expect that we would meet here. Please enjoy this feast. After all, it is a rare opportunity for the Quidditch World Cup to be held in our British wizarding world."

Irina nodded slightly and said, "I will. Thank you, Minister Fudge."

After Irina returned to her seat, the Malfoy family walked in from outside the box. Fudge introduced Lucius Malfoy to everyone, although most people here knew this family.

Except for the fact that Mr. Weasley and Lucius Malfoy looked at each other with a hint of tension and vigilance, the atmosphere in the box was quite harmonious.

Not long after, Ludo Bagman, Head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports and commentator for the Quidditch World Cup, rushed into the box.

"Is everyone ready?" asked Ludo Bagman, his round face shining like a giant ball of cheese. "Minister, shall we begin?"

Fudge said in a pretentious manner, "Just start when you say start, Ludo."

So Ludo pulled out his wand, pointed it at his throat, and whispered, "Loud voice!"

As his voice fell, the spell took effect. Under the effect of the loudspeaker spell, his words were like thunder, echoing throughout the packed stadium.

Ludo's voice echoed above their heads, carrying loudly to every corner of the stands.

"Ladies and gentlemen... Welcome! Welcome to the 422nd Quidditch World Cup!"

At this moment, the wizards in the audience burst into cheers and applause. Thousands of flags were waving at the same time, accompanied by chaotic national anthems. The scene was really lively.

On a blackboard directly opposite the box, the advertisement for Bibi's Every Flavour Beans that was originally being shown was erased by magic and replaced with the scores of the two teams.

Bulgaria: 0; Ireland: 0.

"Okay, enough chit-chat, allow me to introduce... the mascot of the Bulgarian national team!"

On the right side of the stands was a neat bright red square, and the wizards in the square burst into loud cheers at the same time.

In the box, Lynn looked towards the direction of the stadium with interest. If he remembered correctly, the mascot of the Bulgarian national team was a Veela.

Veela is a magical creature with human appearance, often appearing as beautiful young girls with silver-white hair and skin as white as moonlight.

In addition, Veela have a unique ability to charm, especially when dancing, almost all men can't resist their charm, so men tend to act recklessly and impulsively when they see Veela, just to get close to them and win their favor.

In fact, when Lynn first saw Irina at King's Cross Station, he once thought that Irina was a half-Veela. After all, Irina also had silver-white hair.

It was not until later that Lynn realized that Irina's hair color had nothing to do with being a Veela, but was due to the affinity for ice in her blood, just like how Lynn, who had an affinity for fire, had a gradient dark red hair color.

However, unlike Irina's snow-white hair, only the ends of Lynn's hair changed color due to his affinity for fire.

A hundred Veela came to the center of the arena. Their skin glowed softly like the moon, and their silver hair fluttered in the wind. The moment these Veela entered the arena, Lynn found that Harry and Ron had stood up.

As the music started, the Veela began to dance one after another, and under the influence of their dance, Harry and Ron could hardly control themselves.

As Lynn watched in amusement, Harry put one leg on the wall of the box, while Ron made a diving posture, as if he was going to jump from the box to the center of the arena and dance with those veela.

"Harry, what are you doing!?"

Seeing her good friend's out-of-control look, Hermione shouted anxiously and angrily.

At the same time, Irina turned around nervously and looked at Lynn. After discovering that Lynn's eyes were still clear and seemed not to be affected by the Veela at all, she secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Even Irina herself didn't know why she cared so much about Lynn.

However, Irina did not notice the faintly glowing bracelet on Lynn's wrist.

It was this bracelet that resisted the influence of the Veela on Lynn.

Lynn has lived two lives but has never married or had children. Now he is at the age of full vigor and vitality. If it were not for the alchemical array on the bracelet that resisted the influence of the Veela's charm talent on him, even if Lynn could suppress the other party's influence to a certain extent with his own soul strength, he would more or less make some inappropriate behaviors.

In fact, after feeling the cool breath coming from his wrist, Lynn secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, he was used to living a life where he was armed to the teeth with all kinds of alchemical products. Otherwise, if he lost his composure in front of so many people, he would probably have thought of burying himself somewhere.

Soon, the music stopped, and as the Veela left the field, the stadium was filled with angry shouts from wizards who wished the Veela could keep dancing there.

In the box, Hermione also pulled Harry back to his seat with force. She looked at Harry and Ron who were making a fool of themselves and couldn't help covering her face.

After the Bulgarian national team's mascot left the field, it was the turn of the Irish national team's mascot to perform.

Ludo Bagman's booming voice rang out again in the stadium: "Now, please raise your wands to the air and welcome the mascot of the Irish national team!"

As Ludo Bagman finished his words, there was a whoosh and a huge green and gold object flew into the stadium like a giant comet.

It flew around the stadium once before breaking into two smaller comets, each heading for a set of goal posts.

Then, an arch-shaped rainbow suddenly appeared across the entire stadium, connecting the two shining big balls.

There were bursts of exclamations from the audience, as if they were watching a fireworks show.

Soon, the rainbow disappeared, and the huge flashing balls connected and blended with each other to form a huge, dazzling clover. It rose high into the air and began to hover above the stands. Then, something "crackled" and fell from it, like golden raindrops.
