AN: Sorry for such a late upload. I finished this chapter on days ago, but after rereading what I wrote I was honestly disgusted at the sheer nonsense that was on the screen and I simply deleted it in disgust to rewrite it and this chapter came out a lot better, so tell me what you think and vote on the polls I put out as they'll decide where the fight takes place.

DxD: Spawn of the Dragon

Chapter 12: Truly, Life was great.

-Emrys-

Emrys groaned softly as he stirred awake, a familiar warmth beneath his head, opening his eyes groggily, he was met with Asia's gentle smile which instantly made him feel more relaxed either because of her Dragon Tamer Aura vibe or because of how beautiful she looked when giving him a smile. Still he enjoyed her lap that was like a cushion as she softly ran her fingers through his hair. Truly, life was great.

"Good morning, sleepyhead," Asia said softly as she began to hum a tune he didn't recognize, but he sat up and gave her a peck on the cheek as he sighed in relief, knowing that since Tiamat hadn't ordered him to get up yet meant that his grueling training session was over. All he needed to focus on now was resting well for his match against the fake phoenix, but he still did a quick check and after sensing Tiamat in their den he laid back down enjoying the holy lap pillow.

"Thank Great Red's scaly nuts," Emrys muttered, his lips shifting into a content smile as he relaxed under Asia's touch enjoying the way she scratched his head. He allowed himself to enjoy the tenderness and comfort his soon to be mate offered, the soft hum of her voice draining any mental fatigue from getting his ass beat like a cherokee drum, and the delicate strokes through his hair soothing the lingering tension in his muscles as she used her sacred gear, Twilight Healing.

Minutes passed and the artificial sun in the sky eventually set and Asia shook him slightly, "It's almost time for dinner you need to get up, so I can cook." Asia whispered, her tone laced with hesitation, as though she didn't want to end the moment and he didn't either, but a man needed to eat and Asia was a wizard in the kitchen having picked up the skills from their time with Yasaka.

So he dramatically sighed as he sat up, but his back popped in several places that made him wince in pain despite the healing, "Damn Tiamat and her brutal training," he muttered, drawing a giggle from Asia as she started to walk inside.

Before she could get too far though, Emrys quickly reached out and brought her into a hug as he leaned down and pressed a light kiss to her lips, "Thanks for being my personal angel, Asia." He said with a loving look in his eyes.

Her cheeks flushed a bright red as she stumbled to her feet, flustered. "I-I'll go start on dinner!" she exclaimed before darting inside the house, leaving Emrys chuckling at her endearing awkwardness and innocence.

Alone he surveyed the clearing that served as his training ground for the past three days. It was his turn to clean up and he knew better than to shirk the task lest he face Tiamat's wrath, so he cast a series of basic Earth magic spells, smoothing the ground and repairing any damage caused during their earlier sparring sessions.

As he worked, a sudden magical signature brushed against his senses. It was somewhat strong, undoubtedly High-Class, and approaching their home. Instinctively, Emrys paused to check if Tiamat intended to intervene. Feeling her lack of reaction as she stayed within the den he realized she was leaving this visitor to him. She seemed to slowly be giving him more responsibilities or she was just being lazy, either or.

Summoning his dragon wings, Emrys took to the skies, flying toward the intruder at his top speed and he stopped a dozen meters away after cutting them off, his eyes narrowing as he took in the figure before him.

She bore a striking resemblance to Ravel Phenex, but older. This woman's more mature, buxom figure, combined with her elegantly tied ponytail, exuded authority and grace. She was either her mother, Lady Phenex or a relative.

"Who are you, and what do you want?" Emrys demanded, his voice cool and authoritative despite the beauty in front of him.

The woman bowed her head slightly, an apologetic smile on her lips. "Forgive my intrusion. I am Rayna Phenex, the Lady of House Phenex and the mother of Riser. I couldn't get a response from either Tiamat or yourself to any letters, emails or texts so I decided to come in person." She said and he summoned his phone from his pocket space and after checking he realized that there were indeed nearly a hundred missed calls from numbers he didn't recognize, but he was busy being used as Tiamat's stress dummy and cuddling with his future wife.

Emrys' expression hardened, "That answers one of my questions. Now what do you want?" He asked knowing that she wouldn't risk coming here for no reason, though he had a good guess.

Rayna hesitated before speaking, "I know that Tiamat would never rescind the blood feud after Riser insulted her pride in such a manner, but we cannot let this matter escalate further. The only way to resolve this peacefully is for you to intervene on our behalf." She said and for a moment, Emrys paused for her to say that she was joking, but seeing her serious face he stared at her in disbelief, then he burst into laughter.

"You want me to help? Why in the hell would I aid a family that tried to take Rias from me and insulted my mother?" He asked in disbelief.

Rayna winced but pressed on. "It wasn't the entire family, it was Riser and-" She got out, but he interrupted her.

"Riser alone doesn't have the power. Your husband and Lord Gremory approved it, so that means House Phenex as a whole wanted Rias, and that's not something I can overlook." His tone grew colder and sharper as he thought of cucking Zeoticus for trying to give away what was his, he always thought Venelana was sexy, but he needed to focus on the topic at hand.

"That alone makes me loathe the Phenex family, but your son hurled at my mother saying that he would make her moan like a whore and give her a son he could truly be proud of and that too falls on your family, you specifically as you failed to raise him to recognize his betters." Emrys finished not wanting to leave any wiggle room, because if not for Tiamat's words that they would be a good foundation to his faction he would have preferred to kill them all and end any potential problem before it could start.

Rayna flinched at his words, but she took a deep breath to steady herself, "I understand. House Phenex, myself included, was in the wrong so what will it take to sweep this matter away?" She pleaded and Emrys barked a mirthless laugh at the notion.

"What could you possibly offer at this point?" He asked knowing that everything they owned and the devils themselves would be his lackeys after he won. Sure he wouldn't treat them bad as they would be part of his faction, but he wouldn't treat them like family.

Slowly Rayna closed the distance between them and Emrys allowed her to approach, silently calling upon his Touki and replacing his skin with dragon scales beneath his clothing in case she launched a sneak attack and when she was close enough, she placed a delicate hand on his chest, causing him to tense slightly.

"What are you doing?" he asked, his voice neutral as he watched to see what nonsense the blonde milf would pull, though he noted that Yasaka was sexier.

"I'm trying to save my family." Rayna said her expression softened, a strange mix of desperation and determination in her eyes.

-Rayna Phenex-

Rayna Phenex hovered in the air, her expression carefully crafted from nearly thousands of years of experience as a seductive smile made its way onto her face as she leaned closer to Emrys. She could feel the tension in the space between them, but the young dragon remained infuriatingly impassive, his piercing gaze fixed on her as if he were dissecting her every move.

Taking his lack of rejection and silence as tacit agreement, she let her voice drop into a sultry whisper, leaning forward so that her breasts pressed against his hard chest, "You've been wronged, Emrys. I understand that, and I'm here to make it right even without a fight because House Phenex can offer you and Tiamat an alliance and an unbreakable bond between our families. Priority access to Phoenix Tears and access to out near limitless resources… even me, at your beck and call. Willingly." She added, guessing that Emrys was the type to use force to lay with unwilling women, "Perhaps, with your superior genetics, you might even give me a son better than Riser." She finished knowing those exact lines could be thrown in the face of her son as she offered up her body.

Even as she spoke, Rayna cursed Riser internally for dragging their family into this nightmare, but she still saw an opportunity. A chance to mitigate the damage that Riser caused and if she could secure Emrys' favor and child, the Phenex family might not only survive but thrive to greater heights without being under the control of another.

Emrys however remained stone-faced, watching her with an inscrutable expression. So she had to trust her gut and taking his continued silence as further approval, Rayna grew bolder. She brushed her lips against his neck, trailing soft kisses down his skin, her body pressing fully against his.

(AN: Inscrutable means impossible to interpret. I wanted to use this word for a while.)

She felt a rumble in his throat, and her heart leapt with joy. 'Finally, a reaction', she thought triumphantly, unknowingly mistaking the vibration for arousal as she didn't know the biology of Dragons very well, so emboldened by the sound she let her hand wander downward, teasingly stroking his member which she noted was massive for being all natural, but just as she leaned in for a kiss, Emrys pulled back abruptly and began laughing once again.

This time though the deep, hysterical laugh sent chills down her spine, because the laughter wasn't warm or amused. It was sharp and mocking. Rayna's initial irritation, at being disregarded despite being voted one of the most attractive females of the entire devil race, quickly morphed into unease as she realized that the rumble in his throat that had been suppressed laughter, not lust and she misunderstood.

She stood frozen as he laughed for what felt like an eternity, her face a mask of forced composure as her confidence evaporated. Finally, Emrys caught his breath, his voice cutting through the silence.

"Why," he asked, his tone sharp and condescending, "would I agree to any of that when, by this time tomorrow, your family will already be under Tiamat's control?"

Rayna's blood ran cold as she processed his words knowing that she truly had no way to negotiate with the young dragon. He also spoke with absolute certainty, as though Ruval's defeat was already an undeniable fact, a predetermined outcome…

The worst part was that she knew he was right. If he won they would be under Tiamat's command without the intervention of the Four Satans, but they had already turned a blind eye by ignoring their pleas for help and without their protection Tiamat would wipe out their entire family if they refused to participate.

Sirzechs Lucifer she understood because the crimson satan was a well known sis-con and after her husband's attempts to marry Rias to Riser once again against the young heiress' wishes. Rayna knew that Sirzechs would rather side with Emrys if he could, but the other three she struggled to understand. Serafall Leviathan, while quirky, had no personal stake beyond her younger sister, Sona being best friends with Rias… Okay now it finally clicked why Serafall refused to contact them and remained neutral as she was also a rather famous sis-con.

Next was Falbium Asmodeus who she knew held no personal stake in this conflict and should have intervened for the good of their race, but despite the offer of Phenex tears and funding for the military he remained unmoved and as slothful as ever, which angered her. Lastly was Ajuka Beelzebub, who while apathetic to everything that didn't intrigue him should still do what was best for devils as a whole…

It clicked that perhaps the smartest Satan decided that it was better for the devil race as a whole to not intervene and let this run its course. That's not mentioning that it was rather well known that Ajuka had Tiamat acting as a referee in high level Rating Games.

Emotions she thought she had long mastered bubbled to the surface—fear, anger, humiliation. Frustration finally overcame them all and her restraint snapped, "Then what do you want, Emrys!?" She snapped, her voice trembling with rage, "What will it take for you to ask your mother to stop this farce?"

Emrys' eyes narrowed dangerously and his voice dropped to a low growl, dripping with menace "A farce?" Emrys asked, his voice dripping with anger as she felt his power doubling along with his aura that now weighed heavily on her, "Does this look like a farce to you, Lady Phenex?" His savage smile sent a shiver down her spine.

Rayna bit her lip, realizing too late that she'd misspoken in her moment of frustration and she mentally chided herself for losing her composure. She had insulted the pride of a dragon, a race known to be utterly uncompromising when it came to such matters.

"There is one thing you can do to make this all go away." Emrys said leaning closer, his grin widening and she leaned back not liking the feeling that he gave off.

She knew whatever he was about to say would be cruel beyond measure, but still had to ask. "What is it?" she questioned cautiously, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Tomorrow, in the middle of the arena tomorrow the Phenex family will crucify Riser with blessed silver and drown him in holy water. Do that, and I will consider the insult to have never been uttered and I'll even make Tiamat to rescind the blood feud." Emrys' tone was laced with venom as he delivered his ultimatum and she froze, her breath catching in her throat.

The sheer brutality was something that would have barely occurred within the confines of the Great War let alone now, so Emrys' demand left her reeling. Yes, Riser was her least favorite child, but he was still her son and the thought of subjecting him to such a fate was unthinkable, even for her.

Holy items have always been the weakness of devils and dying in such a way was the equivalent of an angel getting violated repeatedly until they fell and then killing them so they would forever be separate from their creator as both Devils and Fallen Angels lacked an afterlife.

Her emotions churned violently. First anger, then horror, followed despair as they all battled for dominance. She wanted nothing more than to incinerate the dragon before her, but she knew that even if she could defeat Emrys, which she doubted, Tiamat's wrath would come just as quick to obliterate everything she held dear.

"You're a monster," she hissed through gritted teeth, her voice trembling with barely restrained fury.

"No, Rayna. I'm simply a dragon protecting what's mine." Emrys said firmly and she realized that he stated such demands not because he wanted Riser to die, but to ensure that the battle commenced. That along with him being so sure as to command Tiamat to drop the blood feud hinted at Emrys being the person behind the blood feud.

Rayna glared at him, her mind racing for the multitude of ways he would benefit from Tiamat gaining control of House Phenex, with a few sticking out, but for now she straightened herself and forced her trembling hands still, "I reject your terms and tomorrow, Ruval will prove your arrogance to be your downfall." She spat and with those words, she teleported away, leaving Emrys alone in the clearing knowing she had some planning to do.

-Ruval Phenex-

Ruval Phenex sat in his father's office, the tension in the room palpable as the family waited for his mother's return. The air was heavy with a mix of anticipation, frustration, and unspoken fear. Only his father's stoic demeanor kept the situation from boiling over, but Ruval could sense the unease under his father's calm exterior was even greater than his and his siblings.

Knowing that if he continued to look at his father he would break the tension he looked away and saw Riser sat on one side of the sofa in the corner fidgeting with frustration with Ravel on the other side openly glaring at Ruval's youngest brother, her disdain for their sibling evident in her piercing gaze.

Riser acted oblivious or indifferent and avoided her eyes, his bravado a thin veneer over his discomfort and Ruval tried to remain composed, though his own emotions churned as he didn't have his second brother, the founder of Phoenix Media, to talk to because even now he was working to gain as much public support for House Phenex as possible.

Thinking on missing family members Ruval's mind snapped back to his mother. He couldn't help but feel conflicted because on one hand, he despised the humiliation his family faced, particularly the idea that his mother had to offer herself to a dragon to secure their independence and hopefully their survival, but on the other, a sliver of hope gnawed at him that she would succeed and they could avoid the wrath of Tiamat.

Yet the very notion of his mother being reduced to such a position made his blood boil, a sentiment that only deepened his anger toward both his father and Riser for dragging the family into this mess because they remained stubborn in pursuing Rias Gremory.

As the minutes stretched on, Ruval continued discreetly observing his siblings. Ravel's open hostility and lack of decorum despite being the most well mannered made him hesitate, unsure if he should reprimand her, but before he could make a decision, he sensed his mother's arrival as her magic flared just outside the room.

Without waiting for his father's permission, Ruval swiftly moved and opened the door, embracing his mother and she returned the gesture, her touch reassuring and warm.

After he released her, Rival looked her over, his eyes searching for any signs of Emrys having taken advantage of her, but beyond a faint scent lingering on her, she appeared untouched, which allowed him to breathe a small sigh of relief, but that also meant that the young dragon didn't agree.

Ushering her into the room, Ruval sat her down and his father wasted no time asking what had transpired, his voice calm but edged with concern.

Rayna recounted her encounter with Emrys, her words measured yet carrying the weight of their dire situation. When she revealed the young dragon's cruel demand, Ruval's fists clenched tightly. His teeth ground together as rage simmered beneath his calm exterior, his knuckles white from the force of his grip.

Before he could speak, his mother placed a comforting hand on his arm. She assured him that it was a farce of a demand as Emrys wanted to ensure the fight went on which made Ruval relax slightly because while Emrys was confident, the dragon was still only at the peak of High-Class strength and if Ruval went full throttle from the start, Emrys wouldn't have time to build momentum through boosting.

His mother and sister, the two smartest strategists he knew agreed with his strategy going into detail on which magic to use, and since his mother who just met the young dragon showed confidence in him winning Ruval found some himself sighing in relief as Rayna's ability to sense and evaluate power levels was the best in the family.

Nevertheless as a veteran of countless Rating Games and a consistent member of the top ten rankings, Ruval knew better than to underestimate his opponent. The possibility of Emrys possessing a hidden trump card loomed in the back of his mind, but he kept his doubts to himself as he knew what he needed to do.

After his mother finished speaking, his father dismissed everyone except her, stating that he needed to discuss something privately and Ruval, understanding the need for discretion, nodded and left the office with his siblings. As they walked down the hall, Ravel cast him a worried look asking if he needed any help for last minute preparations, her concern evident, but Ruval gave her a reassuring pat on the shoulder.

"I need to finish some last-minute things on my own, nothing major, believe in your big brother he's the strongest." he told her calmly. Then, turning to Riser, he added with a sharp edge to his tone, "And you, don't fuck things up even more."

And before either could respond, Ruval teleported away, arriving at a hidden location on the outskirts of Phenex territory and he flew toward the designated spot where he entered subtle wards. Awaiting him in a shadowed clearing was Zekram Bael, the first head of House Bael and the leader of the Great King Faction.

"Have you made your decision?" Zekram asked, his tone even but expectant and Ruval nodded, his expression resolute.

"I will take control of the Phenex family and I'll pledge its support to the Great King Faction, but I'll need the King Piece." He said going by the terms of the deal offered to him days ago when the news came out that he would be fighting the Son of Tiamat and Y Ddraig Goch.

Zekram studied him for a moment before producing a small, ornate box. "The King Piece amplifies power anywhere from ten to a hundred fold, but the strain could be too much and kill you. This is the gamble. Are you prepared for that?" he said, his tone carrying a note of warning.

Ruval didn't hesitate, "I'll do whatever it takes to secure my family's survival and if that means using the King Piece, so be it." He said knowing that this ensured that he could defeat Emrys and potentially even Tiamat if he was on that higher end.

Zekram handed him the box, his expression unreadable. "Then I wish you the best young Phenex and welcome to the Great King Faction." He said with a knowing smile and Ruval, knowing that his family dynamics would change regardless of the results tomorrow, so he accepted the box and stored it away.

"Thank you. I'll be in contact after tomorrow." Ruval said with a curt nod and without another word, he teleported back to Phenex Manor, the weight of the upcoming battle heavy on his shoulders. He almost instantly regretted making a deal with someone many considered 'The Devil' himself, but he needed assurance that the New Satan Faction wasn't providing. For now he needed to rest and get his mind right, because tomorrow would be the true show.

The next day as Ruval woke up and dressed himself his father entered his room and handed him a vial that gave him a bad feeling.

"What is this?" He asked not even having a guess as to what it was.

"Insurance." Lord Phenex said and curious Ruval opened the container looking inside he saw it was only a drop of some viscous black liquid and just the fumes made Ruval feel weak. It was poison and a vicious one at that.

"Father… What is this?" He asked again, wanting a straight answer this time, because he was done with all that cryptic bullshit, soon he would need to forcefully retire his father and become the.

"The blood of Samael." His father answered and the answer shocked Ruval as what was basically the bane of all dragons was now in his possession. He didn't even want to know how his father acquired such a thing, but he knew that he would also have to pay off that debt in the future and with both the king piece and the blood of Samael, Ruval was ready.

-Emrys-

"Tomorrow, huh?" he muttered to himself, his tone filled with anticipation. "We'll see about that." He said with a chuckle as he flew back home to eat.

He sat at the dining table, feeling content after the hearty meal prepared by Asia. The excitement for his battle tomorrow lingered in the back of his mind, making it difficult to focus on the moment. After dinner, he lay in bed, his thoughts buzzing with anticipation about the fight against Ruval Phenex, but just as he was about to fall asleep his instinct flared like never before.

Never in his life had he felt danger like now and despite expanding his senses he found nothing in the immediate area and not decking not to bother Tiamat he mediated the way Yasaka taught him until the feeling went away as he calmed his racing mind after what felt like hours, sleep finally claimed him.

In the morning, Emrys stirred awake, feeling a warmth pressed against him. Cracking open his eyes, he saw Asia clinging to him like he was a stuffed animal. He had sensed her sneaking into his bed sometime during the night and simply went back to sleep feeling more serene in her presence. Her small frame was curled up on his chest, her face peaceful and innocent as she slept and Emrys couldn't help but smile at how adorable she looked.

Feeling mischievous, he reached down and gave two handfuls of her surprisingly large ass and leaned closer to kiss her neck. Asia who was now half-asleep, let out a quiet moan and instinctively shifted, rubbing against him.

He continued gently feeling lust flood his veins as he could smell her arousal as she sped up her ministrations, but eventually she began to wake, her eyes fluttering open as she realized their compromising position. Mortified, she quickly sat up, straddling him as her face turned a brilliant shade of red.

Emrys, thoroughly amused, grinned up at her. "Is this your way of asking to have my child?" he teased his hands still playing with her soft ass giving her a soft spank that caused her to moan once again.

Asia sputtered incoherently, her face burning even brighter as she tried to find the words to respond. Overwhelmed, she fainted, collapsing onto his chest. Which was something that Emrys didn't expect.

Chuckling, he shook his head. "I can't believe I just witnessed a real anime troupe," he muttered to himself and deciding to stop teasing his little dragon tamer, he carefully laid Asia back down, tucking her into bed. Emrys knew she wasn't ready for anything too intimate as she still firmly held her faith and values from her time in the church, but he wasn't going to wait for her to be jealous and throw herself at him.

He liked the slight challenge and when he pumped his seed into Asia and made her a mother it would be just that much better. Getting up, Emrys decided to hunt breakfast, heading out into the surrounding forest. It wasn't long before he brought down a massive boar and after cleaning it, he returned home to find Asia awake and moving about the kitchen, albeit slightly avoiding his gaze. Her face still showed traces of embarrassment from earlier as she began cooking the meat he prepped.

Knowing it was best not to tease or push her too much he sat down and simply enjoyed the view of Asia in some tight shorts and an apron. Tiamat eventually joined them, her hair disheveled and her expression groggy and still in a teasing mood Emrys couldn't help himself and playfully tapped his lap, grinning, "~Want to be spoiled Tiamat?~" He asked, expecting her to hit him.

But to his surprise, she yawned and plopped down onto his lap, motioning for him to feed her the food that Asia already cooked. Emrys blinked in shock before chuckling softly.

He enjoyed the way the Strongest Dragon King's voluptuous ass felt rubbing against his little dragon and while he fed her pieces of cooked boar with one hand, the other to gently fix her messy hair. Tiamat glared at him initially but made no effort to stop him, turning her head away as she continued eating.

Asia, bringing over the last plate of cooked boar, pouted slightly at the scene, her jealousy thinly veiled, but he wasn't going to have any of that so after Emrys noticed he tapped his other leg, motioning for the former nun to take a seat as well, but Asia quickly averted her gaze, her cheeks once again tinged with red, still embarrassed from that morning.

After the meal, Asia left the two alone to shower and Emrys feeling confident, couldn't resist teasing Tiamat one last time, "Want me to help you shower too?" he asked with a sly grin, his hand that was fixing her hair slowly making its way to her ass, but just as he reached her lower back.

Tiamat's response came as a sharp hit to his head that sent him sprawling onto the floor in agony. As she walked away, she muttered, "You're lucky you got off with that, so get ready because we're leaving within the hour." She said motioning to the clock.

Still lying on the ground, Emrys held back his curse as he held his head in pain. After it faded he dragged himself back to his room and changed into his black dragon-scale outfit. The attire was a gift from Tiamat.

Within minutes he was ready and now he was waiting for the two. Tiamat was dressed in her own black dragon-scale outfit and Asia, having gotten more bold, wore a summer dress that slightly showed her ample curves.

Tiamat teleported Emrys and Asia to the Lucifer Estate, where they were greeted by a small group of devils consisting of the ORC members minus Gasper, Grayfia, Sirzechs, and Ajuka. As soon as she saw him, Rias threw herself into Emrys' arms, wrapping him in a tight embrace.

"I've missed you." she whispered, gazing up at him with a love sick expression and he chuckled knowing how obsessed Rias was with him.

"I missed you too." Emrys replied as he hugged her back briefly before flashing a confident grin. "And before you say it, I don't need luck because I'm going to kick Ruval's ass with pure Bad-Assery." he joked and the joke drew chuckles from the surrounding people.

The determination in his voice got approving smiles from Sirzechs and Ajuka, though Grayfia simply gave him a nod of acknowledgement. Rias beamed at him, her faith in his victory unwavering. Giving the buxom body of his girlfriend a squeeze Emrys couldn't help but think, Life was good.

-Tiamat-

Tiamat exhaled quietly as she finished the teleportation spell, bringing Emrys, Asia and herself to the Lucifer Estate where Ajuka told her to meet them. The grandeur of the estate was lost on her as it was too gaudy for her tastes, a simple pile of gold and priceless treasures was enough for her.

Tiamat's focus was firmly on Emrys, who was quickly engulfed in a tight embrace by Rias Gremory.

The sight made her clench her eye twitch imperceptibly. Tiamat still didn't like Rias, despite her apparent devotion to Emrys, but she would tolerate the bat for his sake, still the overly affectionate display irritated her so she shifted her gaze to the others and when looking at Sirzechs Lucifer, she noticed something peculiar. His expression almost mirrored her irritation, though it was fleeting and quickly masked by a neutral demeanor when Ajuka tapped him discreetly on the back.

Tiamat's instincts flared at the exchange immediately. 'Why would Sirzechs be irritated?' She wondered, but knew to say nothing for the moment and decided to observe further before drawing conclusions because she didn't think that Sirzechs despite being painted as a sis-con would hold such feelings for his sister. She could never be one hundred percent sure.

After Ajuka teleported the group to the 'Floating City of Agares', the chosen location for the battle. The island, a masterpiece of devil technology, suspended amidst the clouds. As they arrived the sight of what seemed like millions of devils and other races that lived in the underwould surrounded the floating island, as both a cacophony of cheers and boos greeted them, the sound was so loud that it reverberated through the air.

Tiamat ignored the uproar from the crowd, her eyes scanning the surroundings with measured disdain and while she caught snippets of conversation from the surrounding devils she ignored them only checking to see if any had useful information as most were just speculating on Emrys' chances, with others mocking him, dismissing him as an overconfident dragon facing inevitable defeat.

Their words didn't faze her because she knew better. The devils always would be foolish little bats in her eyes, so she subtly nudged the frozen Emrys forward with telekinesis, signaling for him to lead the group and he picked up on her message immediately, walking forward with a confident stride and his head held high. Grayfia took the role of guide using the air currents to wordlessly guide Emrys while walking slightly behind him.

And soon they entered the main arena and the group had to split up with each member moving to their designated seating areas. Tiamat stood beside Emrys along with Asia, watching as everyone wished Emrys good luck. Rias, of course, couldn't resist giving her son a deep, passionate kiss, which Tiamat once again deliberately avoided watching.

Instead, she let her attention focus on Sirzechs once more, his expression as he regarded Emrys and Rias seemed… Off, forced even and that only deepened Tiamat's suspicion and her centuries of experience taught her to trust her instincts when something seemed amiss. She'd need to keep an eye on the devil.

After they left with only herself and Asia accompanying Emrys, the trio made their way into the locker room to wait for the start of the battle. The atmosphere in the room was tense yet focused, the air thick with anticipation as Emrys couldn't keep the excited smile off his face.

Asia, though clearly nervous, tried to put on a brave face, staying close to Emrys to quietly offer support.

Tiamat, on the other hand, remained silent, her arms crossed as she leaned against the wall. Her gaze completely focused on Emrys, her pride in him unmistakable even if she didn't voice it outright. She even gave him the honor of feeling her ass against him.

'They'll see soon enough,' she thought to herself, a small smirk tugging at her lips. The battle would begin soon, and the world of devils was about to witness a fraction of the strength of her pride and joy. If he won in a dominating effort she'd even give him a reward, but for now she was going to sit back and watch the show.

-Ddraig-

In the VIP box, the tension was palpable as the members of the ORC and Student Council settled into their seats, their eyes glued to the screens showing the arena down below. The atmosphere was suffocating and even Ddraig couldn't help the slight anticipation that was building within him because if there was one thing he could give the devils it was their ability to put on a show, but his focus shifted to where the participants were going to emerge.

The surrounding speakers blared as massive holographic screens appeared all around the arena. The two announcers began their introductions and Ddraig listened with growing interest.

"Good Afternoon Men and Women of the Underworld! Thank you for tuning into today's match. My name is Roygun Belphegor, the current second rank in the Rating Games and my co-host for today-" Roygun introduces herself, the woman a beauty even by supernatural standards she had long, wavy, cherry blossom hair with two horns protruding from her head and she wore a high-cut dress that showed her well-endowed bust and slim waist and Ddraig had to stop himself from cringing in disgust at Issei's response wiping the saliva coming from his mouth.

"Is me, Magical Girl Levi-tan!" The image of an inhumanly beautiful woman appeared; she looked younger than Roygun seemingly in her late teens with black hair, tied into twin tails and blue eyes. Dressed in a skintight pink magic girl outfit along with her deceptively small body she seemed like jailbait.

Roygun went on to introduce Ruval Phenex as a genius of fire and wind magic, sharing her personal experience of nearly losing to him in a past Rating Game with clips of said rating game showing on additional screens before fading away. As she finished, the arena erupted into cheers, and the imitation Phoenix made his entrance.

He calmly walked out of the tunnel waving at the audience with a calm that that Ddraig knew was false and he took off into the sky until the cameras lost him in the clouds, but it wasn't long before the sky above the arena lit up as if a second sun appeared and the construct of a massive Phoenix descended, its blazing form radiating so much heat that the protective barrier shimmered and the crowd's reaction was deafening, and Ddraig had to admit that the Phenex heir knew how to make an impression, but still regarded the bat as a pure showman who he could crush with one swipe when alive.

Before the cheers subsided completely, Serafall Leviathan brought her unique flair to the stage. Her cheerful tone turned up even more as she introduced Ruval's opponent, "Now. Now. Don't go making your bets too soon because his opponent is a Dragon who has the potential to rival the Heavenly Dragons themselves, the son of Dragon King Tiamat, the Chaos Karma Dragon, the Strongest Dragon King and a Heavenly Dragon, themselves Y Ddraig Goch!" She shouted like a showman getting the audience hyped from the information.

"WOOOOOOO!!!!!!" The crowd roared and Ddraig made Issei look up, sensing his arrival and above the clouds, a shadow began to form, growing larger by the second, which clued the others in as well.

"So without further ado, let me introduce the Dragon with limitless potential and a being whose power was so great it was sealed by Ajuka himself when he was a child, the one who carries the legacy of Ddraig like no one else in history… EMRYS WELSH!" Serafall shouted before firing a massive blast of ice into the sky as it shattered the clouds dissipated to reveal the awe-inspiring sight of Emrys in his dragon form.

The light red dragon was massive. Even larger than Ddraig himself and it dove toward the arena at frightening speeds, his immense wings spread wide, and as he crashed into the arena floor with earth-shaking force causing the whole island to shake, the dust cloud that erupted was quickly blown away by the roar that followed. It was a deafening primal sound that sent chills through the crowd.

And Ddraig himself felt a strange sensation, a mixture of pride, his eyes widened as he took in Emrys' form. The resemblance to himself was uncanny and it seemed as though Emrys had inherited more than just his power. So it wasn't just pride that filled him, but something akin to a paternal connection.

Unable to contain himself, Ddraig forcefully manifested on Issei's arm despite the drying saliva and roared, "KICK THAT BAT'S ASS SON!" His words startled everyone in the VIP box and as the group turned to look at Issei's gauntlet, their expressions were a mix of shock and confusion.

"Ddraig… Is he really your son?" Rias asked, her voice tinged with surprise, but the Heavenly Dragon ignored them, his focus entirely on Emrys, who looked up at the box he was in and smirked. The silent acknowledgment between them only deepened Ddraig's strange sense of pride.

The announcers took over again, with Roygun addressing the crowd and summarizing the stakes of the battle. She explained the origin of the feud with Riser Phenex's insult to Emrys and Tiamat's pride which led to the battle at hand and Serafall, ever the performer, chimed in to ensure even the slowest devils in the audience understood.

If Ruval won, the House of Phenex would gain Tiamat's servitude, but if Emrys won, the entire Phenex family would be under Tiamat's control. The stakes that initially seemed one sided made sense as Tiamat alone was worth more than the entire lineage of the Phenex Family and that alone sent the crowd into a frenzy, their roars echoing across the floating city. The screens showed the Phenex family seated in a similar VIP booth, their expressions showing grim determination.

Ddraig, still observing through Issei, noticed that his wielder was fidgeting in his seat, his emotions tinged with envy and curious he asked, "Why are you Jealous? Did you perhaps see the appeal of fighting such strong opponents?"  Ddraig remained hopeful that Issei, who just witnessed the two beings that absolutely outclass him, had a fire light under his ass, so he could become a worthy user of the Boosted Gear, but it all seemed for naught.

'No way I'm just jealous because if Emrys wins, he'll get to play with Ravel and her Milf of a mom's breasts. That lucky bastard…' Issei replied in his mind with gritted teeth as he switched between the screen showing Roygun and Serafall and the Mother/Daughter combo.

Ddraig could only sigh in resignation for getting his hopes up, muttering to himself about Issei's never-ending obsession with breasts. It seemed his partner had yet to burn into his mind that power would draw women. Still, the dragon's focus quickly returned to the arena as Ajuka Beelzebub appeared, his presence silencing the crowd. The Satan announced that he would be the referee, ensuring no fatalities occurred during the match.

Ajuka called both Emrys and Ruval to the center of the arena. As Emrys approached, he shifted back into his human form, drawing another wave of cheers from the crowd and Ddraig ignored the once again growing envy from Issei. On the magic screens, Ajuka calmly explained the rules to both combatants, ensuring they understood the stakes and the limitations of the match.

The two would be able to use any and every transformation along with one Phoenix tear that Ajuka himself would provide, but explicitly said that the use of any other external object magical or not was against the rules and would result in an automatic loss.

With both combatants ready, Ajuka activated the arena, teleporting all three out of sight. The crowd's excitement reached its peak as their focus shifted to the screens, eager to witness the clash between a dragon with boundless potential and the pride of the Phenex family.

Ddraig settled into silence, his gaze fixed on the screen. The battle ahead was more than just a fight. It was his legacy making a statement and while initially he dreaded having Issei as his wielder he was thankful as it gave his the chance to see his descendent grow. Truly, life was great.

-Rias Gremory-

Rias slowly moved from her original seat beside Sona as she silently sat next to Issei who was still distracted by the image of Serafall and Roygun, arguably two of the most beautiful women in the underworld. Her eyes flicked back and forth between the Boosted Gear on her pawn's arm and the massive screens showing the arena below. Her mind was a whirl of emotions, excitement for Emrys and pride at his grand entrance, she still felt herself aroused from the sheer power behind the roar, but what held her attention the most was something Ddraig said, he called Emrys his son.

'Emrys…The son of Tiamat and Ddraig?' She was confused because she'd always been suspicious of Emrys' power and when she saw that his ability to boost his strength was the same as Issei's Sacred Gear, but she had chalked it up to some inherited dragon magic or her boyfriend being a distant relative, but to discover that he was the son of the Red Dragon Emperor himself, was something she hadn't expected.

Her gaze drifted to the Boosted Gear as Ddraig's voice proudly shouted encouragement, cheering for Emrys with unrestrained enthusiasm and she still found herself staring at it with a mix of doubt and awe.

And she leaned back slightly, her fingers tapping on her thigh as she tried to piece everything together. The timelines didn't quite add up. Ddraig had been sealed in the Boosted Gear for over a thousand years at the very least, so how could he have a son that was only eighteen? Yet, the resemblance was undeniable and Ddraig's reaction was genuine.

The more she thought about it the more confused she became, but she decided not to overcomplicate it as a faint blush crept up her cheeks, because if Emrys was Ddraig's son, then what did that mean for her?

Her gaze shifted to Issei, who was now muttering something about Emrys being lucky to have Ravel and her mother, Rayna at his beck and call and Rias rolled her eyes at his predictable thoughts but found her mind wandering to her own future. A wry smile tugged at her lips.

'Does this make Ddraig my future father-in-law?' The thought was so absurd that she nearly laughed, but it lingered, leaving her feeling strangely determined.

She stole a glance at the screen, where Emrys stood in his human form, his confidence radiating as he prepared to face Ruval and pride swelled in her chest. Whatever his lineage, Emrys was hers, and she would support him no matter what.

"Hey, Issei," she said, breaking her silence.

Issei turned to her, his expression a mix of curiosity and confusion. "Yeah, President?" He asked distracted as he continued to ogle the forms of Serafall and Roygun, did he not notice that Sona was now glaring at him? She decided to let her best friend deal with it later and smirked, her tone light but teasing.

"When Emrys wins this, you should start practicing calling Ddraig 'Grandfather'." She was amused at the notions gaining laughter from Sona who instantly picked up on Rias' joke.

Issei blinked, completely bewildered, "What? Why would I do that?" He asked confused.

"Because," she said, her eyes sparkling mischievously, "it looks like I'm going to have a Heavenly Dragon for a father-in-law and since Emrys and I are going to be like the Mom and Dad of the Peerage that would make you Ddraig's 'Grandson'." She said and Issei stared at her in horror, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water, while Ddraig let out a loud rejection.

"Rejected. I would never have a grandchild that is as perverted as Issei. I'll wait until you or one of his other mates gives me one." Ddraig said and she could feel his disgust at having Issei as his grandson.
