[12th April 2024]
Yes... The moment the real culprit was revealed, the entire room froze.
Gasps echoed like gunshots. People blinked in disbelief. And just like that, opinions flipped faster than a coin in mid-air.
On the massive screen, the girl who had been playfully clinging to Evan only seconds ago suddenly twisted into something else entirely.
Frustration etched across her face, she started tearing her own clothes—piece by piece. Then, with a chilling, snake-like smile and a glare that could cut glass, she screamed.
"HELP! SOMEBODY HELP ME!"
The scene turned chaotic. But everyone now knew the truth.
The moment the authorities rushed in, the girl put on her act flawlessly, but the evidence on-screen had already destroyed her lies.
Rossy and Evan stood still, unfazed. Calm. Composed.
But the guilty couple? They looked like dried leaves in the wind—drained of color, trembling under the weight of truth. The crowd around them? Shocked. Ashamed. Betrayed.
The guy made a break for it—but it was too late.
Two officers were already there, grabbing him and locking his hands behind his back.
Even the girl wasn't spared. A stern-looking female officer stepped forward—the same one who had been quietly observing from the start—and escorted her out without a word.
Justice.
As they were taken away, silence loomed over the room like a storm cloud. Then… came the apologies.
One by one, people bowed their heads to Evan, Rossy, and Jason. They weren't at fault. They had just been swayed by tears—by a manipulator, a master actress, a venomous snake.
Jason had saved Evan from a deep pit, and he knew it.
A few days later, the news broke wide:That same girl and her boyfriend had done this before—framing innocent guys and vanishing before consequences caught up.
But not this time. Not with Jason around.
Rey and Rossy were stunned when they learned the whole truth.
Jason... had installed a hidden camera in his house months ago.
He had been preparing.Waiting.Watching.
And when the moment came, he struck. With precision.
They were left speechless. With his foresight and cool demeanor—Jason had been the MVP of the day. No question.
Without him, they might've been the ones drowning in false accusations and despair.
Evan, filled with gratitude, wanted to throw a massive party to celebrate. He even offered to use the money he had been saving.
But Jason?
He flat-out refused."No need," he said, brushing it off like it was no big deal.
Still, Rossy cooked them a feast that night—one filled with warmth, relief, and laughter. That moment marked the resolution of the darkest chapter Evan had faced so far.
And after that?
Life... started flowing smoothly.
His days became brighter, simpler. Calm. Normal.
But of course, normal never lasts forever.
Exactly one year later, in 2022, something significant happened.
Jason and Rossy organized a grand reunion—a gathering of friends and family.
For Evan, it turned out to be a turning point. That's when he truly realized who he had been living with all this time.
People of honor. Character. Loyalty.
They had even offered to make him a permanent part of their family.
He still found it hard to believe.
And even though he didn't want to go to the reunion at first, Jason made a personal request. How could he say no?
March 15, 2022 – The Grand Reunion.
The venue? The most luxurious hotel in all of Lumina City—fully booked.
Evan arrived a day earlier, on March 14th, confused."Why so early?" he had asked.
Couldn't they just arrive an hour before the event?
Turns out... no.
A surprise holiday had been announced. The entire city of Lumina was under high alert due to the visit of top-ranking army officers. A city-wide curfew after 9 p.m., with heavy penalties for any violators.
Jason, Rossy, and Evan traveled at night—escorted in a luxurious, velvet-lined car provided by the hotel itself.
Evan was stunned.Jason and Rossy, meanwhile? Cool as ever. As if this was routine.
The hotel glimmered under the moonlight, its underground parking lot filled with high-end sports cars and elite rides Evan had only seen in magazines.
As they stepped out, Evan felt... small. The ground floor was bustling with people dressed like royalty.
Then it happened.
A well-dressed family walked up to Jason and greeted him with deep respect—as if he was some high-ranking executive.
Evan blinked.And then blinked again.
Was this the same Jason he had been living with?
More people followed, Merchants. Nobles. Old-money aristocrats.
And every single one of them treated Jason and Rossy like they were somebody.
Meanwhile, Evan?He just stood there.
Invisible.
That was when a tap on his shoulder broke his daze.
"Yo, Evan," said a familiar voice.
He turned around.Rick.
Dressed in an expensive blue suit, white shirt crisp as winter air, shoes gleaming like obsidian.
Rick smirked. "You look kinda lost, my guy."
Evan tried to speak, "No, I was just—"
But Rick cut him off.
"Ah, I get it. They kicked you out, huh? So you're working here now? But where's your uniform? Don't forget to show up at school, alright? And hey, what are you pointing at?"
Rick paused, finally noticing Evan's hand pointing behind him.
He turned.And froze.
Jason and Rossy were standing right there.Rossy's expression? A volcano seconds before eruption.
Jason tilted his head. "We've been here the whole time, Rick. Didn't I warn you not to run your mouth?"
Rick gulped.
Jason slowly stepped back, clearly passing the judgment on Rossy.
And Rossy?
She exploded.
Rick couldn't escape. He was caught. And what Evan witnessed that day… became legendary.
He finally saw why Rossy was feared among all of Jason's friends. Even the boldest of them dared not speak recklessly around her.
Jason had once told him—back in her prime, Rossy was a fierce, intelligent beauty. Feared, respected, and utterly untouchable.
No one ever stood a chance.Except Jason. He had won her over.
But that's a story for another time.
For now, Evan just thanked the heavens Rossy didn't make a public show out of Rick.
That would've been... unforgettable.
