"Long time no see, brother. I heard about the oh so 'great' things you did." Lucifer arrogantly smirked, clapping his hands in the process.
However, despite being praised by the devil, Michael showed no expression.
Why would someone get excited or show a positive emotion when you're praised by the devil himself? Especially since he's an angel, a devil's mortal enemy, destined to cut each other's throats.
"Lucifer…." Michael muttered his name in a dejected manner.
"What? Missing your brother? Do you remember what you even did?" At first, his expression was mocking before comtorting into anger.
"DO YOU KNOW THE PAIN I'VE BEEN THROUGH JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO PLAY WITH THE RULES THAT FATHER MADE FOR US!?" Lucifer's tone was full of anger, his glare towards Michael intensified.
"Lucifer. You know what you did and it's not my fault. You rebelled against your creator! Your father! Someone who loved you more than anyone." Michael held back himself from tearing up as he explained.
"Father expected great things from you. You're the second born after me. You were destined for greatness."
"Destined for greatness? You're starting to become like him. Filling my head with dreams and then what? Forcing me to bow my head to those filthy humans as if I wasn't enough for him!?" As Lucifer growled, he raised his hand and conjured his unique trait.
The Demonic Brilliance of Evil Light.
An Evil Light spear appeared on his hand, largely different from the usual Holy light spears.
Unlike a holy light that only has one color which is gold, Lucifer's was entirely made up of pure darkness except for the outlines being gold in color.
This is the unique ability that Lucifer unlocked after mixing his Demonic Energy and Corrupted Holy Energy together through an intricate process.
Then there's the matter of his newborn son inheriting his unique trait.
What could've been a successor for the Lucifer clan, became a supplement for Lucifer to empower his Evil Light trait, bringing it to new heights.
"That…" Michael squinted his eyes at the Evil Light, remembering how the light managed to injure him greatly during their last encounter.
'He has grown stronger…' Michael muttered to himself with a grim expression.
The Evil Light, especially, grew stronger than before.
'This would be a problem. His Evil Light is stronger than Holy Energy as it is the combination of Corrupted Holy Energy and the Demonic Energy.' He continued.
As a matter of fact, even God himself has admitted that Lucifer's Evil Light is stronger than his Holy Energy, which speaks for itself on how strong it truly is.
'I'm afraid I'm no longer his match.' Michael shook his head.
The only thing left he can do in this situation is try to weaken Lucifer as much as possible, before he confronts God.
"Take this!" Michael's thoughts were interrupted by Lucifer's loud yell.
Fwoooshh!
The pure darkness of Evil Light surged towards him, cutting everything in its path, even the fabric of space itself.
Michael widened his eyes in surprise before dodging quickly, the Evil Light spear almost caught him by hair's width.
However, although Michael managed to dodge, the Evil Light's surrounding aura was able to hurt him, drawing a sharp breath of pain from Michael.
'It's an Angel's weakness.' Michael gritted his teeth.
Lucifer managed to achieve the impossible as he created something that became a weakness of Angels just like how a devil's weakness is Holy Energy.
This is something that is unheard of.
"Die! Brother! Die! Lucifer bore a crazed expression as he barraged Michael with several more Evil Light spears.
Fwooosh!
Fwoooshh!
As for Michael, the Seraphim displayed a an excellent control over his flight as he narrowly dodged every Evil Light spears that came his way before throwing his own Holy Light spears.
However, when his Holy Light spears collided with the Evil Light counterparts, it simply broke into tiny pieces while the latter, albeit weakened, still managed to fly over Michael.
'This would be a problem.' Michael face turned grim.
Now he's certain he's no match against his twin brother now.
***
As the Angels and Devils have now fully engaged in the Great War. Chamber just brought his students back to the Sanctum Sanctorum along with Belle and Augustus who also just for back and this time, he advised them to not go our or go anywhere without his permission.
After all, Chamber doesn't want them getting kidnapped all over again.
Once that's done, he then proceeded to open a portal to the nearest city of Lucifaad.
After all, he hasn't been in Lucifaad yet despite the fake backstory he created about himself during his last meeting with Serafall's father, Gideon.
And that city he opened a portal to was the Sitri territory's city.
"I hope Sera doesn't find me here…" He muttered to himself.
Unbeknownst to him, Serafall was having another problem.
***
"Yosh! I've finally infiltrated the city guard's Tower! Just a few more walk away from the Evil Lord Zekram's nest! Muwahahaha!" After successfully knocking out the city guard and taking over his identity with a simply illusion spell, Serafall excitedly marched towards the upstanding castle on top of a hill from the distance.
"I, Ninja Serafall, will save the day and have Chamber fall all over me again!" Serafall fell into a dazed expression as she could already imagine Chamber's reaction upon hearing that she successfully rescued his students.
"Oh, Serafall, my beloved! You have saved my students! How could I ever repay you!" Her imagined Chamber said to her inside her mind.
"Muwehehehehe! ChamCham, as your students' savior and your benefactor! You shall serve me and make me feel good like you once did a few weeks ago again!" Her imagined self replied with a nasty grin on her face.
"Oh, Serafall!"
"ChamCham!"
As their lips went closer and closer, Serafall immediately slapped herself back to reality.
"Gosh! I almost drooled." She muttered to herself while slurping back the drool on her lips.
"Alright! Let's go!" After cheering herself up, Serafall got out of the city guard's office that she impersonated and slowly sauntered towards the Bael estate with unhurried steps.
It didn't take long for her to arrive at the estate and instead of knocking on the door, she casted a spell over herself.
[Water Magic: Liquidation!]
Upon casting it, she suddenly turned into a body of water before landing and splashing on the ground.
This is one of her self-created water spells that turns her entire body into water, making her impervious to most physical attacks. Her only weakness in this state is obviously fire.
With great control over her water body, Serafall seeped through underneath the huge metallic doors, successfully infiltrating the Bael Estate.
Serafall continued this manner of infiltration before finally arriving at another metallic doors.
This doors, obviously leads to the hall of the Bael Estate, where Serafall assumed the students must've been kept at.
Unfortunately, the metallic doors doesn't have any gaps so she was left with no choice but to find alternatives.
It didn't take long for her to find one.
A small hole where she saw several rats and a few insects use to enter the hall.
'Oh, Big G. Please help me.' For the second time, Serafall gestured a sign of the cross before turning herself liquid again and passed through the small hall full of mysterious cobwebs and the likes.
And since she was a body of water, she also bright these 'mysteries' to the other side.
Though a quick clean spell managed that just fine but it was still a horrifying experience for someone like her who was used to clean things.
'Don't give up, Serafall. This is for the sake of making him head over heels for you!' She wiped away her non-existent tears as she thought of this, imagining herself as a very hardworking wife who sought over her husband's lost affection.
"Huh?" Just as she shifted her focus on the hall, only then she noticed it was not only empty but it also looked like a huge battle has taken place here.
"Eh?"
At the same time, she received a sudden Audio-Visual Communication spell, prompting her to connect it.
["Moshi Moshi? Serafall, are you there? Say, you haven't gotten to Bael estate yet, right? I kind of already finished the job and got the kids back and I'm now on your Sitri territory city. Hello? Are you there?"] On the other side was Chamber, explaining the circumstances just now.
"….Eh?"
***
'Why did I even tell her where I'm at?' I muttered to myself as I felt a great weight on the back of my shoulders.
Smack!
"Were you just thinking something rude just now?" It was Serafall, who appeared all of the sudden with a portal and is now permanently attached to his shoulders, not letting go even when he threatened to open a portal to Heaven and jump inside.
"Nothing." I answered with a wry smile.
"Good. This is your punishment for letting me go through all those traumatizing experiences just for all of it to be null in the end!" Serafall crossed her arms under her large boson and declared with a pout.
'Well…if this is the so-called punishment, then I guess I don't mind.' I muttered to myself as I could feel he warm feeling around my head thanks to a certain thick thighs wrapped around my neck.
'Oh God, my saviour. Despite being on War with the Devils. You still managed to make some time to grant me a very blissful trial.' I mentally made a praying sign while thanking God for his blessings.
"Say, you know how to conjure a portal right?" I asked her.
"Yes?" Serafall tilted her head in confusion but still answered.
"And you've been to Lucifaad, right?" I asked another question.
"Yes? Where are you heading with this?"
"Can't you just.…you know. Open us a portal there? I've never been to Lucifaad, after all." I asked before explaining, hoping she would realize this.
"No." Only for her to curtly answer me as if she'd long known that I would ask her about this.
"Understanble." I'm also in a favourable situation here nonetheless.
