"There are no guards here. Your son has ruined the palace just as you ruined it when you ruled. Know that your death is a result of your actions regarding my daughter. Seraphina was innocent," Zephyr said, pushing the sword down into Dorian's chest.
He could not wait a second longer in case Dorian regained his strength and there would be a long chase around the palace to catch Dorian.
Dorian grabbed the sword sticking out of his chest. It was painful, like his body had caught fire.
Where had Zephyr come from now? Where was he all those years ago?
Had Dorian known Zephyr was still around, he would have questioned him too.
"You!" Dorian spat, blood dripping from his mouth.
Just a little longer, and he would rise to kill these men, then find his incompetent son, who didn't know how to properly guard a room.
