Arella followed Haniel as they moved through the corridors of the celestial spire. Everything had that unfamiliar yet familiar feel to it. It was as if she was going through a forced feeling of deja vu.
Their footsteps were muffled by the pristine marble floors, and the air was thick with divinity, much unlike the feeling of holy power she got when she was back home. Unlike them, the angels here did not use their halos as power regulators but as something completely different.
That was perhaps the reason why Arella was unable to take off the halo that hoovered above Kratel's head when she wanted to take a shower.
Their halos were not detachable like the ones she was used to.
A heavy sense of dread filled Arella with every step they took that brought them closer to the hall of eternity.
"By the heavens." Haniel muttered to her as they walked, "I seem to have forgotten to inform you about the obstacle that will be waiting for us in the hall of eternity."
