Along the forest path, Lotcar swiftly made his way, drawing ever closer to the eastern gate of the city.
Suddenly, Iya sensed something and stood up on the carriage, bow in hand.
Looking up at the standing Iya, Bai Jin, with eyes barely visible beneath her disheveled hair, looked puzzled,
"Iya, what's happened?"
Swallowing hard to confirm her senses weren't misleading her, Iya's gaze shifted towards the rear of the carriage,
"It's darkness. There's a darkness following us."
"Darkness? The darkness you're talking about is..."
"The bat we encountered in the Goblin Maze that day, the Dark Knight from the maze we first strategized to conquer, and the ruins beneath the All Things Library... they all feel very similar to what I'm sensing right now."
Drawing her bow, a Light Arrow formed between the strings in Iya's hands, and the launching of the arrow pierced through the shadow that was tracking them.
