Damion and Matilda stared at the creature floating before them, then as if just recognizing it as something not human, they jumped back, or rather, Damion jumped back.
Matilda let go of Damion and tried to transform again, but a splitting headache and fatigue combo hit her hard, and she fell by her brother's side, her eyes almost rolling to the back of her head.
