Damion's attention was taken away by a car-sized pillar of lightning suddenly descending from the sky and striking Captain Shodan.
The strike was so sudden and swift that Damion was shocked for a second, unable to react properly.
The dust and smoke from the collision cleared a bit faster than he expected, dispersing with so much force it might as well have been a whipping attack all on its own.
Damion caught a glimpse of a rippling red barrier positioned just above Captain Shodan's head, and just outside the barrier was Alexia Volt, her feet planted firmly on the barrier, releasing thick bolts of penetrating Moon Lightning.
She pushed off the barrier, shattering it instantly, shooting backwards and flipping through the air. However, using a superior form of electromagnetism, her body's momentum was altered, and she shot back at Captain Shodan.
