The faint scent of herbal incense lingered in the air mixing with the sweetness of rose and lavender. Mira's cottage looked sad and depressing, flickering candles casting golden halo across the dim room. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, with shelves scattered everywhere and parchment in every corner of the room.
Mira stood by the door with her back against it. She tried to tell herself that she wasn't terrified but that was a lie. She was shaking from the powerful presence in front of her.
"Younger you would have done what I wanted. I miss her so much"
Mira froze. She closed her eyes shut hoping that he would disappear if she ignored him. She opened her eyes moments later to be met by his dark eyes.
"Well,too bad" she said, unable to hide the slight tremble in her voice. "I've changed"
His smile curled like smoke. "Yea, it's bad. I'd have loved her"
