I had been called to be present while Albert's will was being read, and while there was a good chance I wouldn't be receiving anything, I had brought Grace with me.
"Isn't it funny that despite you being his lawyer, he didn't trust his will to you?" I asked.
"I'm his business lawyer, not his family lawyer," Grace replied as we walked into the intimidating building in front of us.
For this event, I was dressed in plain brown pants, a white sweater, and white sneakers. Wanting something different, I added a white cap. The young but mature look my outfit gave me was quite pleasing.
Grace walked ahead of me. While she had the option, courtesy of Denise, to wear a pretty white gown and even carry a designer bag, the woman chose instead to wear a black shirt and white skirt.
She added high black heels to complete her look, and that's why she was in front while I trailed behind.
