Chapter 59 - LIX: The Creature II

"Dammit, just how this thing keep comming back," Raiden muttered, pushing himself off the ground.

He could feel the weight of the situation, this was tricky. Catching the villain seemed impossible with this creature and his endless stamina in the way, but there was still something he could do.

Instead of focusing on catching the man himself, he could at least keep track of his position. If he couldn't stop him, someone else would.

If he bought enough time, the other heroes should arrive, at this point, they should be close to finishing off the remaining monsters.

They'd be here soon enough, and once they arrived, they could take care of it. Raiden just needed to signal his position clearly, and that would be enough.

To his surprise, the creature was indeed injured. It wasn't bleeding, but two of its tentacles were missing, and parts of its body seemed to be missing as well. Raiden's Hyper beam had done damage, a lot, and that gave him hope.

The creature wasn't invincible, and if he could hurt it, there was a chance he could defeat it.

Raiden's resolve strengthened. "If it can bleed, it can die," he muttered to himself, but in this case, it was more like, If it can be hurt, it can die.

Raiden kept a close eye on the scientist, never letting his focus drift. At the same time, he casted Agility again and again, though this time, his goal wasn't only to increase his speed but also to maintain it for a longer period.

As he closed the gap, he unleashed Swift attack four times, pushing himself to the limit.

In an instant, 32 shining stars shot toward the creature with blinding speed.

Already wounded, the creature didn't react fast enough. But it wasn't just because of its injuries—it was also because the creature lacked battle experience.

Raiden realized, It's like fighting a child with a firearm. Dangerous, yes, but still beatable because of its inexperience.

The creature's movements were erratic, driven only by instinct. he changed forms constantly to mitigate Raiden's damage and strike with more strength, dodge better or defend better.

Even though Deoxys had raw power, it didn't know how to use it effectively. Someone with experience could exploit that, and Raiden knew that all too well. In a fight, instinct alone wasn't enough.

Raiden appeared beside the creature in a blur, his speed matching his sharpened focus.

He used a Mega Kick and Mega Punch simultaneously, amplifying his strength and shaking the ground with the force of his attacks.

He poured everything he knew about martial arts into the assault, drawing on his modified Muay Thai skills to deliver a flurry of blows.

Each strike was precise, and he enhanced his power further with his telekinesis. Intercalating with more mega punches and kicks from time to time as fast as he could.

His body felt the strain of using his moves without pause, but he pushed past it, ignoring the fatigue.

Knees, elbows, kicks, punches, and even his tail—all were weapons in his arsenal.

His attacks flowed seamlessly from one to the next, not giving the creature a chance to retaliate.

The creature's instinctive dodges were too sluggish, its raw power wasted without the skill to back it up. Raiden kept pressing, constantly finding new openings. Each time he saw one, he activated a close-combat ability, landing another devastating blow. Little by little, he chipped away at the creature, leaving it less and less whole with every strike, he was taking chunks of flesh with each strong strike.

Raiden's tail became a vital part of his offensive. He used it to block and attack in perfect coordination, adding to the barrage of strikes.

The tail's powerful structure allowed him to strike with even more force than a typical kick. Still, it wasn't enough. Raiden pushed harder, focusing his telekinesis into his tail, augmenting it with every ounce of energy he could muster.

In doing so, he left other parts of his body exposed, vulnerable. But Raiden didn't care.

He pushed his body and powers beyond his current limits. Then, he could feel it, the energy coursing through him, building in his tail, ready for something more, it was just like in other occasions.

Then, as the power reached its peak, Raiden's tail began to glow.

It was a sensation he knew all too well—the same one he felt each time he unlocked a new ability.

The glow intensified, and Raiden understood what was happening. His tail had absorbed enough power to manifest a new form of attack. With the first strike, he muttered to himself, "So this is it…"

"Iron Tail."

Raiden's tail responded instantly, glowing with intense energy as it carved a downward arc through the air.

The impact struck the creature's chest with a brutal force, shattering the area where its shoulder should have been.

The sheer power of the strike tore off the creature's remaining arms, sending it hurtling into the ground. The impact left a massive crater, dust and debris erupting into the air.

Raiden barely had time to catch his breath before his eyes darted toward the scientist.

He spotted him in the distance, speeding away in a car. Without hesitation, Raiden moved to pursue—but before he could, the creature, almost like a machine, erupted from the crater. It lunged forward, positioning itself directly in Raiden's path, despite having no arms to fight with.

Raiden braced for an attack, but what happened next caught him completely off guard.

A bright blue sphere of energy formed in front of the creature's face, crackling with cold power.

In an instant, a freezing beam shot forward, striking Raiden square in the chest. A sharp, biting cold spread through his body as the ice rapidly expanded from the point of impact. Within seconds, Raiden was encased in a thick block of ice, his movements frozen midair.

Gravity took hold, and he crashed to the ground with a loud thud.

He remained conscious, but his body was trapped, unable to move. His mind, however, burned with fury as he glared at the creature.

Instead of finishing him off, the beast simply turned and sprinted toward its fleeing creator.

Then Raiden witnessed something even more horrifying.

The creature's shoulders began to twitch and ripple unnaturally, as though something writhed beneath its skin.

A sickening crack followed, and from the broken stumps, new arms grew in place of the ones he had destroyed. In mere moments, it was whole again, as if Raiden's attack had never happened—only a few shallow gashes remained across its body.

Rage rose inside Raiden, he had put everything into that barrage of attacks, only for the creature to undo it in seconds.

Igniting his telekinesis, Raiden caused the ice trapping him to tremble. Cracks splintered across its surface as his energy pulsed outward.

The creature, sensing the shift, stopped dead in its tracks. It turned its head back toward Raiden, looking at him with plain dead eyes.

Raiden's psychic energy surged, radiating in violent waves around him, inside the ice.

Then, with a sudden shockwave, the ice shattered into countless shards, which he held suspended in the air around him.

His eyes burned with an intense blue glow, and that same glow enveloped his body.

The boy had never felt more frustrated than before, maybe when Edward beat him years ago, but now he felt intense rage, this thing, and the man "father" not only took away his revenge from him it also made that thing steal his abilities, and even make new ones that he couldn't use.

"You're stronger than me. I'll give you that. But strength means nothing if you don't know how to use it."

Raiden's mental message reverberated not just through the creature's mind, but through the mind of the escaping scientist as well,

But they weren't only thoughts, Raiden transmitted all of his rage to their minds.

For the first time, a cold dread settled into the scientist's gut.

He had seen that look before—one blinded by fury, consumed by the need for destruction.

As a villain, he had witnessed it countless times. And now, Raiden wasn't just focused on stopping him.

Raiden wanted blood.

The scientist clenched his jaw. He needed to escape. Now.

The creature charged at Raiden once more, but this time, he didn't react as expected. Instead of meeting the attack head-on, he held his ground, waiting. He let the beast get dangerously close—close enough to feel the rush of air from its movement—before finally activating Iron Tail.

But Raiden didn't use it to strike.

With a sudden burst of force, he slammed his glowing tail against the air itself, propelling himself sideways at incredible speed.

The creature lunged past him, missing by mere inches. In that same instant, Raiden twisted his body and unleashed a Shadow Ball at point-blank range.

The dark sphere nearly grazed the creature's face before detonating in a violent explosion. The shockwave sent both combatants skidding back, but Raiden wasted no time.

His eyes flared, igniting in a blaze of deep purple and magenta, flickering like fire. His aura pulsed, shifting into those same eerie shades, crackling with raw energy, it was similar to the energy used in shadow ball, but even more intense.

A smirk crossed his face as he spoke.

"Interesting… You see, my abilities are always there. They don't just appear—they unlock. And some of them? Some are absurdly strong. Like this one… The one I'm grasping right now."

His voice dropped lower.

"I'll turn your own strength into your downfall."

The power Raiden was channeling felt different—darker.

It pulsed with something unnatural, something born from his fury and frustration.

He stretched out his hands, and between them, a mass of dark energy swirled to life. The strange substance flickered like a flame, shifting between deep purple and magenta.

This attack was even harder to control than Hyper Beam, yet Raiden's focus never wavered. He refined its form, pushing his power to its limit.

The swirling darkness expanded, wrapping around his entire body like a living flame. The air around him trembled.

Then, in an instant—he vanished.

Before the creature could react, Raiden reappeared right in front of it, his body completely engulfed in the sinister energy. With all his strength, he hurled himself forward, slamming into the creature with the full force of his power.

"Foul Play."

The attack was devastating.

The surge of purple energy slammed into the creature with the full force of its own power.

Foul Play, the last of Raiden's unlocked abilities, used the creature's power against it, a mirror of its own strength.

It was a terrifying move, especially for something so powerful.

Against anyone weaker or even of equal power to Raiden, it would have been ineffective, but against an opponent far stronger, it turned the tables, giving the boy an almost absurd advantage.

The force of the impact sent the creature flying, its body torn apart.

The lower half of its torso and its right arm were obliterated, leaving only a mangled upper body.

The explosion of energy ripped through the air, sending a shockwave that shook the ground beneath them. The sound of the shockwave breaking the sound barrier echoed across the area, a deafening crack that made everything tremble.

When the creature finally crashed to the ground, it tore through the earth, demolishing everything in its path as it skidded along the ground.

Raiden stood motionless for a few seconds, his body still absorbing the aftermath of the attack.

He was not just stunned, but also heavily injured.

The blast had given him the power to land a crushing blow, but it hadn't granted him the endurance to withstand the toll it took on his own body.

His arms felt heavy and sluggish, and his breathing was ragged. A sharp pain shot through his side and chest, and he suspected several of his ribs had been broken.

With no time to waste, Raiden immediately cast Life Dew, his focus sharp despite the pain, as he attempted to heal himself before the situation could get worse, just in case.

End of the Chapter.

Hey guys! Here's today's chapter. Like I mentioned last time, I'll post another one if we reach the top—let's aim for rank 70 between today and tomorrow. So please, don't forget to drop some Power Stones!

Also, just a reminder: every move Raiden learns comes from Gen 7 or 8, including level-up moves, TMs, and TRs.

Also currently Raiden or Mewtwo, is level 17. Deoxys 35 (I changed this, a coment make me realize a mistake), however here it changes his form at will, bosting his "stats".
