When Xion found his way to Noxian's camp, the little boy was busy packing his things. In fact, everyone was.
It was around ten, and even in the dark night, the bustling retinue showed no sign of slowing.
So, Xion did not disturb Noxian.
He simply stood there, quietly watching the boy bounce around as he gathered his belongings while speaking with the people around him.
Eventually, Xion decided to just relax under a nearby tree. As he rested his head against its slanted trunk, his gaze drifted upward.
The stars were shining brightly in the night sky. The air was nice. The atmosphere was bustling with various voices.
All in all, things were lively enough.
Yet, the uneasiness crowding his chest felt heavier than before.
It wasn't new to him. There were times when Xion felt like nothing more than a walking corpse.
He would move solely on nerve memory, working mechanically, and sometimes he would even take a day or two off.
Then, he would return to feeling alive.
