Chapter 107 - THE PERSONAL QUESTS

Xuanyu didn't answer immediately. Instead, he tapped one final command before placing the tablet on the table. The screen glowed faintly before a holographic projection appeared above it, revealing a series of quests and rewards under 'Personal Quest Tab'.

Nezu's sharp gaze analyzed the display with fascination, immediately recognizing the depth of the system. "You're not here for sports festival, are you? You are here to recruit specialists. I have briefly gone through and some the quests are to create really advanced tech. And all these are just a small part of something big."

Rias frowned and asked," Why did you issue these quests, Xuanyu? Are you building something?"

Xuanyu smirked, folding his arms as he leaned back in his seat. " Yes to both, recently I got something really interesting. So to build it, I need vast amounts of resources, skilled workers, specialists etc."

Rias raised an eyebrow, her intrigue growing. "Something really interesting? Care to elaborate?"

Xuanyu chuckled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "Let's just say I acquired a blueprint for something groundbreaking—a structure, a system, a force that, once completed, will reshape the limits of reality itself. But building it requires far more than just resources. I need minds sharp enough to innovate, hands steady enough to craft, and visionaries capable of seeing beyond conventional limits."

Nezu tapped his paws together, his intellect already working to fill in the gaps. "And these quests… they serve as a testing ground for potential recruits, don't they? No these quests are divided into various parts."

Xuanyu nodded," You are quite intelligent to find it in few seconds. Well, you are quite right, all these given quests can be accepted by anybody, well anybody who is a member of the shop. Then they need to fulfill the quests requirements, doesn't matter whether they do it themselves or corporate with others or ask somelse to complete them. It doesn't matter to me, what matter is that I want the quests completed."

Nezu's eyes gleamed with curiosity as he examined the interface. "So, efficiency and problem-solving take priority over individual effort. A very pragmatic approach."

Xuanyu leaned back in his chair, arms crossed. "Exactly. I don't care who completes the quest as long as it gets done. If someone is smart enough to delegate, collaborate, or even outsource the work, that already tells me they understand efficiency. It's not just about skill—it's about results."

Ditian's golden eyes flickered as he scrolled through the interface, his expression unreadable. "Some of these resource collection quests are quite specific. Rare metals, exotic minerals, high-purity energy crystals… These aren't things you'd find lying around in just any world. You're clearly targeting materials that can sustain large-scale, high-energy projects."

Bibi Dong glanced at Xuanyu before shifting her gaze back to the display. "You're not just collecting raw materials, are you? Some of these quests specifically ask for refined materials—processed to near perfection. That means you're not just stockpiling resources; you need components that are immediately usable. Is this part of what's been keeping Zero Two busy these past few days?"

Xuanyu smirked knowingly. "Of course. Zero Two has been managing the logistics and overseeing the refinement process. She's making sure that everything meets the necessary standards. I can't afford inefficiencies—if people want rewards, they need to deliver exactly what's required, no half-measures. She's also handling the more delicate components that require a skilled touch to ensure everything is progressing smoothly also she is busy creating the core tech."

Lily chuckled, her emrald green eyes gleaming with amusement. "You're turning the shop into an industrial empire at this rate."

Meanwhile, Foara Ul was eyeing a different set of quests. "Medical advancements?" she muttered, skimming through the details. "You've even put out requests for regenerative medicine, biological enhancement formulas, and high-efficiency healing methods. Some of these are bordering on genetic modification." She turned to Xuanyu, crossing her arms. "What exactly are you planning to do with all of this?"

Xuanyu shrugged. "Does it matter? People who take the quests get rewarded. If their work proves useful, they get more opportunities. If not, they move on. Simple as that."

Nezu tapped his claws against the table, his sharp eyes scanning the quest interface. "So only shop members can accept these quests. That means if they don't have the necessary skills themselves, they'll need to hire or work with specialists to complete them."

He glanced at Xuanyu. "That's a significant restriction. It means that just signing up isn't enough—members need access to skilled workers, either by employing them directly or having reliable connections. If someone tries to take on a quest they can't handle alone, they'll have to find people who can, and that adds another layer of complexity."

Nezu leaned back slightly, considering the implications. "This also means that anyone who wants to take on high-level quests needs to think beyond just their own abilities. They'll have to manage costs, negotiate agreements, or even bring in outside help if necessary. That's going to make things a lot more complicated for people who aren't used to handling large-scale work."

Xuanyu shrugged, leaning back in his chair. "I'm not forcing anybody to complete these quests. They aren't compulsory. If someone thinks it's too much trouble, they can just ignore them."

Irene scoffed, crossing her arms. "Who's going to ignore them? The moment they see the rewards, they'll be scrambling to take on these quests." She gestured toward the holographic interface. "Blood Energy Fruits, Origin Fruits, the chance to cultivate on Elemental Islands, direct guidance from Fairies… and above all, the greatest reward—the Runes and to cultivate near the Origin runes. You really think people will just walk away from that? Besides these quests are all under personal quests tab, meaning you are paying for these and everybody knows about your special power of-"

As soon as Irene mentioned Origin Fruits, All Might's expression shifted. His usual confident smile faded as he stared at the holographic list, his hands clenching slightly. He instinctively touched his side, where the devastating injury from his battle with All For One had once been. That injury should have permanently crippled him, limiting his strength and shortening his time as a hero—but Xuanyu had given him an Origin Fruit. The result had been nothing short of miraculous.

Shisui, standing nearby, had a similar reaction. His body, once nearly lost to the ravages of Danzo's betrayal and the loss of his eye, had been restored beyond what he had thought possible. The Origin Fruit had not just healed him—it had brought him to a state where he felt stronger, sharper, as if his very foundation had been reinforced.

Both men exchanged glances before turning back to Xuanyu.

All Might was the first to speak, his voice quieter than usual. "I know firsthand what an Origin Fruit can do. If these quests offer even a single one as a reward… then people won't just be interested—they'll do whatever it takes to get one." His fists clenched slightly before relaxing as he let out a deep breath. "I owe you for what you've already done, Xuanyu. I don't take that lightly."

Shisui nodded, his usual composed demeanor carrying a rare trace of emotion. "If someone like me, who was on the verge of death, could be fully restored, then these aren't just rare—they're priceless. The idea that people could earn one just by completing a quest… It's not something anyone would ignore."

Nezu's eyes gleamed with understanding as he listened to them. "So, we aren't just talking about a valuable resource—we're talking about something that can completely alter a person's life."

Bibi Dong, who had been studying the quest details closely, glanced at Xuanyu. "Runes, Origin Fruits, cultivation opportunities… You're not offering simple rewards. These are things people would kill for."

Xuanyu remained unfazed by their words, leaning back in his chair. "I know. That's why the quests exist. If someone wants these rewards, they'll have to put in the effort. I'm not just handing them out for free."
