Chapter 5 - [ Chapter IV (4): "WIZARDING WORLD" ]

 [ Chapter IV (4): "WIZARDING WORLD" ]

 What is Hogwarts?

To people who don't know, they'll say that it's a wacky word.

To people who know on the other hand will say that it is a school— depending on their knowledge it'll vary in detail, but it'll remain as a school; to some as a magical school, to others a soon-to-be opened school.

But to Felix and all the faculty members in it, they know that Hogwarts is not a school. But is instead an entire separate plain of existence that can only be entered through using a wand, and tapping on specific spots on a special wall with the former.

And to Felix he knows this one keenly due to him being the one to set up the said wacky ritual. Mainly for safety, for entertainment, and to deter anyone from entering his home.

And that is Hogwarts— the wizarding world.

 [ "Damn it, she's actually right..." ]

Annoyed at himself for not believing someone else's suggestion, Felix begrudgingly calmed himself down. Trying the breathing exercises he learnt years back to do so, which works; as he now smiles, the slight frown on his face disappears with him pushing open through the doors.

With him being greeted by hundreds or so plump-looking birds that stopped what they were doing only to look at the intruder... Felix; [ "Uhh- hi...?" ] Not knowing what to do, he raised his arm and waved at the birds...

At the weird small winged, turkey-looking, flightless birds that noticed his action... And in an instant, the calmed birds that were chilling in the middle of the grass field, began to panic and scurry away; not worrying about wherever they go.

This was done not through flying, or running, or by any of those no-maj-like means. No, but instead, this great escape of them was done via loud cracking pops that rippled like a wave— with each and every single one of the birds disappearing from where they were previously standing on— before reappearing somewhere else slightly far-away, with it happening again, as they bit-by-bit moves away from where Felix is standing on.

[ "Dodos..." ] Dodo are known by no-maj societies as flightless birds, having been hunted down to extinction by humans. That isn't true, as proven in front of Felix, they are very much alive and breathing— at this reality at the very least.

He watches in amusement how the plump, blue-birds ranging from short to tall scatter away, reappearing somewhere else, using magic which is almost 1-1 with the magic he practiced for months— Apparition in this case.

But unlike Felix who learnt this just like how one would learn piano, guitar, or biking. To these magical birds, known as Diricawls by wizard society, to them this is not a skill to be learnt— but is instead imprinted on them since birth.

I guess one can say that they are the progenitor of the Apparition ability. Or the latter merely is a copy of the former, but slightly adjusted.

Stepping into the field of grass, Felix began to wonder to himself; how would an supposedly extinct bird taste? Because he hadn't tasted one before, the dodos, though harmless are great escape artists— with him not being able to keep one as a pet, or even as a food supply; with them looking fit to be one.

Nonetheless, no matter how cruel Felix is, he wouldn't really go and eat one for himself. Or, even kill one. He isn't a vegetarian, or someone who detest meat, but in this case one should have limits for himself.

Especially with the new plain of existence he now exists, has many more such extinct creatures— which includes giant reptilian monsters— no, not alligators or even crocodiles. No, instead it is now filled to the brim with Dragons, other fairy tale creatures you'll see in Harry Potter and some you wouldn't... Oh, and also with; [ CRACK ]

 [ "Dinosaurs." ] Apparently.

He momentarily looks to the side and notices a small plump bird-like dinosaur, though not tall, it isn't short either. It eyes the scattering crowd of Diricawls under the thick rows of trees, very far away from Felix, but to those birds, it is very close.

He doesn't know what type of dinosaur that one is, or even bother to research about it— having lost interest months back when he realized they couldn't be tamed, or even be reasoned with as they tried on numerous occasions eating Felix who didn't want that.

Thankfully with the help of magic, he survived. Through close encounters, he almost died. So now, no matter how he looks at them, he couldn't envision himself and them coexisting with either of the two sides causing harm to one another.

[ "Uhh- dinosaurs." ] He mutters to himself like it isn't a big deal in seeing one. How weird is that.

But no matter how weird that may be. Nothing weird will top off the sight in front of Felix, which he has been ignoring in favor of observing the crowd of Diricawls that he rarely sees.

At the scenery of the world he is in.

At the sea of towering trees far away, at the desert on his left, at the spacious sea behind him, and at the field of grass he is stepping on. Any and where you'll look at, you'll be able to see unusual creatures trying to live with one another— both magical and not.

This is the wizarding world that only the faculty members of Hogwarts can access— a place wherein Felix is the next closest thing to a god, or creator of it— with him having lived in the place longest, having seen the blank world be shaped in the span of six months— 180 days to be exact.

From the barren empathy world, to one that slowly gets filled in with beasts that range from small and ordinary, to gigantic towering and fantasy-like.

Sure, Felix does live here, he being the main reason why everything changed; but with him also not knowing why everything changed, or even having any control over the world changing.

Like the desert for example, a month back that didn't exist; and all forms of life that are currently residing on it, but now it exists... And Felix still doesn't know how; he guesses that it may be directly, or indirectly connected to his growth...

That or the System glued to his head, that only appears when it wants to appear i.e when giving tasks, and when giving hints to what he'll need to do in the future.

That aspect of it infuriates him; but hey, at the very least he has a System which 2 out of 10 transmigrators doesn't have. An advantage to him rather than a disadvantage.

Especially with him suddenly being kidnapped from his previous world to this new world, which is indirectly connected to the Detective Comics (DC) Universe, which to itself is scary on its own.

In summary. Hogwarts is both a school and a separate plain of existence wherein prehistoric animals, and magical animals live in— it also changes the more time passes by, keep that fact in mind.

Felix is someone who lives on normal earth as a no-maj 6 months ago. But that changed when he suddenly got kidnapped, and is now forced by something— a System, to teach students on how to wield magic.

In that span of months, he learned magic, he grew alongside the world, and he also met a few keen individuals the more times pass by— them being the school faculty members.

He is in the world of Detective Comics wherein Batman will soon exist, wherein aliens and fictional characters exist. Something that was only a fun fictional world in his past world, now exists, and he lives as a neighbor to it.

A lot to take in, right? So keep up, please. That, or get run over by the train tracks; because the Hogwarts Express is on full throttle at the moment.

[ AN: A lot of ideas I want to fit in, but so little patience. So just drop it all here. Overwhelmed? Then imagine it like this. We readers aren't looking at the beginning of Felix's story, no, instead we dropped supposedly 50 chapters in; with all the previous ideas that lead to this being dropped to us...

So-so confusing, hope I don't drop the story. I don't want to rewrite this again in a few months or so, for the nth time. ]
