Chapter 10 - Yamcha

Bulma and a large number of other villagers came out of their houses, heading towards Seth.

The blue-haired girl looked at the anthropomorphic pig on the ground and raised her eyebrows "Is that the terrifying Oolong? He just looks like a teenager"

"Well, there was no way to know what he really looked like, since he always looked transformed..." One of the villagers said, clearly embarrassed that he had feared Oolong.

Seth let out a light chuckle through his nose "The important thing is that he was caught and has already revealed where the girls are. I don't care what you do next"

Then he turned to Oolong and said "Since you haven't even mastered this technique, it would be a waste of time for me to try to learn it from you, so you can leave. If you want a tip, you should go finish your transformation studies, then transform into someone very handsome forever, that way you won't have to kidnap anyone... If by chance you keep messing up and I find you, you won't have another chance"

After his hint and threat, Seth left with Bulma, leaving Oolong and the village behind. He knew that Oolong could escape them by transforming, but that didn't matter, their deal was to defeat him, not to imprison or kill him.

...

Seth and Bulma were using the boat again, this time to cross a large river, surrounded by rocky mountains.

The sun was still clearly visible in the sky, its rays of light reaching the pair after passing between the mountains. The clear water allowed them to see small fish swimming in the distance, moving away from the boat, probably because of the loud sound of the engine.

A light breeze was blowing against them, causing Bulma's loose hair to fly and mess up her face.

"Don't you think it would have been a good idea to have brought Oolong with us? We could force him to be useful using those transformations, and we would ensure that he would no longer torment that village?" The girl asked, with one hand on the steering wheel and the other she fixed her hair.

"With me here, he wouldn't be of much use" Seth said, with one thought in mind 'Oolong would be useful in avoiding Pilaf's request, but that won't be necessary with me here'

There was also the situation where Oolong disguised himself as Bulma, to fulfill the agreement with Master Roshi in her place. Seth didn't remember that, but he also wouldn't let a deal like that happen, so the pig would be useless anyway.

Then he continues to speak "And even if this is not our problem, I doubt he will attack that village again, after all he only changes his appearance, since everyone knows his real form, he will not be intimidated, and he will not be able to do anything"

Bulma laughs "That's right, after I saw Oolong's true form, I didn't think he was dangerous... Hm?" Suddenly she feels the boat losing speed.

It didn't take her more than a moment to understand the situation "I knew this would happen! We're out of gas on the boat"

Seth smiled, that situation wouldn't be a bother to him after all "We still have a long way to go down the river... Are you ready to swim?"

The girl turned to him with a look full of disbelief "You can't be serious, there are still about 30 kilometers of river to go, I'm not even an athlete, how would I swim that far?"

"What's your plan then? Even if we move to the riverbank, we won't be able to use the car in these rocky mountains" Seth says, still smiling.

Bulma made an angry expression "Stop acting, Seth, you know exactly the easiest way for us to deal with all this!" She took a deep breath "I know you want this to last longer, but I can't swim all that way... So, just this once?"

A faint glint of anticipation appeared in the girl's eyes as she blinked at him with a pleading pose.

Seth laughed and said "You want me to fly you, right? I can do that, but what do I get in return?"

"Can't you just do it out of kindness to a beautiful girl?" She pouts, as if she's mad, but her eyes give her away "You can fly, but you haven't offered me a ride on the clouds yet, so selfish!"

He continued with a smile on his face, crossing his arms behind his back "You never asked. I wouldn't just ask you to take a walk in the sky for no reason, and you already know I wouldn't do it to shorten our trip"

Bulma snorted "Alright, alright! If you do that time, I'll..." She then paused for a moment, thinking about what she should offer.

His thoughts were interrupted by Seth holding up a finger and saying "In return I want... Nothing"

The girl's blue eyes blinked in confusion "Nothing?" She couldn't believe that after all that talk, he would do this without getting anything in return.

"There are many things I want, but if everything between us is an exchange, what kind of relationship will we have?" Seth crawled onto the boat's bench, pressing his body against hers.

His hand brushed over her ear, smoothing back her flowing hair "I don't want everything between us to be forced and with ulterior motives" Without hesitation, he leaned in for a kiss.

Bulma was surprised, her heart had fluttered at those words, a soft red hue appeared on her cheeks and her eyes slowly closed, as she returned the kiss.

Seth intensified the kiss, slowly opening his lips and without even realizing it, the girl had followed suit, soon their tongues were intertwining. One of Bulma's hands naturally moved, grabbing his waist, tightening his shirt with her delicate fingers.

After long seconds of intense kissing, the girl pulled away, panting, opening her blue eyes and looking at him with an unknown passion. She seemed to want to say something, but it was as if she couldn't find the right words.

"I like you, so I won't demand anything in return for my help anymore" Seth said, as he gently wiped the smudged lipstick from under her lips.

Bulma couldn't help but feel a slight shiver when she heard that, it wasn't a declaration of love, but its meaning wasn't that far off.

"I like you too, Seth..." She said with a wide smile, before letting out a light laugh and running her thumb over his lips "Your mouth is all stained with lipstick"

He smiled too "It's your fault, for using lipstick that comes off so easily" Then he hugged her waist "Ready to fly?"

With an excited expression she said "Of course!" But then she remembered something "Wait, we have to take the boat to the river bank to turn it into a capsule and store it"

"Damn, this is kind of anticlimactic" Seth says, releasing Bulma from his embrace "I'll push the boat to river bank"

Flying behind the boat, he casually pushed the boat with ease, until it reached the ground, where Bulma could climb down and transform the boat into a capsule, storing it along with her other capsules.

Seth was unaware of the fact that the girl had originally lost all the capsules along the way, luckily and mainly because of Oolong's absence, the capsules were not lost. Bulma had lost them because of one of the pig's escape attempts.

"Now we can go!" Bulma said excitedly, after putting everything in her backpack.

Seth picked her up, one of his arms holding her back, while the other held her thighs. The position and the feeling of his arms on her body made Bulma blush slightly, without losing her excited smile.

Slowly they left the ground, starting to rise higher and higher. The girl was very excited, there was a chill in her stomach, caused by the mixture of happiness and fear that flying caused in her.

She was completely vulnerable at that moment, being held dozens of meters in the air, even though there was the river below them, a fall from that height could be fatal, but she trusted Seth enough that those fears remained only in her subconscious.

"This is so amazing!" She exclaimed with a smile, as she looked down, seeing everything from above.

Seth smiled, seeing the girl's happy expression "I'll increase our speed a little"

They then flew through the skies at a not very high speed, which would make this journey across the river last a few long minutes.

...

About half an hour later, they had arrived at the place they intended to reach by boat, from there they could go by car.

Even though Bulma really enjoyed flying, and enjoyed Seth's embrace holding her in the air, she didn't ask him to continue taking her flying.

Again using the car, they were crossing the desert that lay on the way to their destination, Frypan Mountain.

Seth, from the passenger seat, had a thoughtful expression 'Are we still going to find Yamcha? I don't know how much my interference may have influenced that...'

...

Meanwhile, deeper into the desert, inside a secret hideout, Yamcha, the desert bandit, was having a peaceful lunch.

"It's been a long time since our last target, Puar, we need to keep an eye out for any more suckers passing through our desert" he said with a slight arrogant smile.

The small blue anthropomorphic cat nodded "I'll keep an eye out, Mister Yamcha! No one will go unnoticed around here!"

"I hope we get lucky, I'm tired of robbing poor people, they're barely worth my effort..." Yamcha said in between chewing.

Their hideout was like a small house inside, which had a staircase leading to an exit, where Puar went to be able to observe the surroundings.

While Yamcha continued eating inside, Puar took out a spyglass and explored the desert. The almost flat place allowed for a long view, which was only blocked by white rocks, which were present on all sides in this desert.

The scorching sun had already reached its peak and was already setting, the dry desert weather made the heat more intense.

Puar circled around the top of the hideout, looking for targets "There doesn't seem to be anyone passing through the desert right now... Wait" He intensified his gaze through the spyglass.

Far away he could see what looked like a car coming almost towards them. Excited, Puar shouted "Yamcha! Yamcha! We have a target! There's a car coming towards us, come see!"

He entered the hideout, calling his friend. Yamcha, who was still finishing eating, smiled as he got up from the table "A car? Well, I hope they have money and capsules too, but just the car should make up for our efforts!"

Leaving the plate of food on the table, he moved to the stairs and climbed up with Puar, to see his target for himself.

Up there, with his friend's guidance, Yamcha found the vehicle coming towards them "It looks like a small car, there won't be more than four people in it, it'll be easy to rob those idiots!"

"Pual, take my vehicle, we're going to work!" He then jumped into the hiding place, to get his sword and some weapons.

Author's Note: The problem with Seth being so strong from the start is that there is no mystery about the outcome of his fights... The worst part is that maybe this will always happen, since he has too many advantages to have difficulty.

It's for this exact reason that I'm not just going to follow the original story, getting Seth off Earth as quickly as possible. I like overpowered characters, but I want Seth to experience at least one beating by the end of my novel.

Why am I sharing these ideas with you? Well, it's because I don't like posting chapters with less than two thousand words. But it's also so that you know where I intend to take this story, after all, you follow my fanfic, I think.
