Director Ross just burst in and immediately faltered.
He just realized that there were only Consultant Parker and him in the office.

Director Ross wiped the sweat from his forehead and quickly closed the door. But, after a moment, he hesitated and opened the door again, poking his slightly balding shiny head back in.
"Junior President Carter, perhaps you should step out for a bit.
Vice President Palmer has arrived."
"Oh,"
Carlos replied nonchalantly.
Today at Carter Automotive's new car launch event, Carlos did not invite Evan Palmer, and since the latter came uninvited, Carlos couldn't be bothered to greet him.
After all, Evan Palmer had not agreed with this project from the beginning and even wanted to overturn it at one point.
Since that was the case, the new car launch naturally had nothing to do with Evan Palmer.
"But besides Vice President Palmer, members of the board have also arrived."
