<[New Fanfic Is Coming Tomorrow: [Naruto: I Have A Gravity Training Room]>
Under the orders of the Department of Defense, alarms blared simultaneously across multiple military bases near New York.
Shortly after—
Warplanes loaded with heavy artillery took off from these bases, soaring into the sky.
After mobilizing aircraft from several nearby military bases, the military, determined to prevent the monstrous rotting giant from growing stronger and spreading its corruption, bypassed the now-court-martialed General Ross.
Instead, they redirected the soldiers under his command—who were still cleaning up the aftermath in Harlem—toward Hell's Kitchen as reinforcements.
The soldiers Ross had stationed in Harlem were originally there to clear out the remaining mutant worms lurking in the sewers. Given the unpredictable nature of the situation, they had been equipped with formidable firepower.
Perhaps that was precisely why they were chosen to be reassigned.
Harlem was not far from Clinton, where Hell's Kitchen was located.
Once the troops were assembled, military armored vehicles swiftly made their way to Hell's Kitchen.
Even before reaching the battlefield, many soldiers inside the armored vehicles caught sight of the colossal, decaying giant.
Seeing that enormous figure—almost as tall as the buildings lining the street—sent shivers down their spines.
"Damn it."
First, there were the terrifying creatures in Harlem, and now, they had to deal with this grotesque giant.
Why did all the worst situations seem to land in their laps?
Sensing the plummeting morale in the vehicle, a middle-aged officer leading the team immediately barked out, "If you don't want to die on this battlefield, get your heads in the game!"
"Quit looking like you're attending your own funeral. If we complete this mission and hold the monster in this district until the air force arrives, there will be medals and bonuses for all!"
"So... give it your all!"
What would happen if they failed? The officer didn't say.
But every soldier in the vehicle knew the answer.
Against a monster like this, failure meant only one thing—death.
The fear of death quickly snapped the soldiers out of their daze.
As soon as they arrived on the battlefield, the armored vehicles came to a screeching halt, and fully armed soldiers poured out.
In mere moments—
Shoulder-mounted rocket launchers were prepped and aimed at the massive rotting giant.
A brief moment of targeting—
"Fire!"
With the command, over a dozen rockets streaked through the air, roaring toward their target.
"Eat this, big guy!"
Through J.A.R.V.I.S.'s surveillance, Tony had already spotted the incoming federal troops.
Just as the soldiers pressed their triggers and launched their rockets, Tony, clad in his Mark armor, fired off a repulsor blast he had been charging.
The blast struck the rotting giant, disrupting its movement and preventing it from dodging. At the same time, Tony's suit maneuvered with precision, avoiding the incoming projectiles with J.A.R.V.I.S.'s calculated assistance.
BOOM!
A thunderous explosion erupted.
The relentless firepower forced the rotting giant to stagger backward, its towering frame obscured by thick clouds of smoke and dust.
Meanwhile—
A powerful shockwave rippled outward, sending debris and wreckage flying in all directions.
"Nice work!"
Inside his suit, Tony let out a celebratory cheer as he saw the monster riddled with wounds from the barrage.
While his Mark suit was powerful and equipped with cutting-edge weaponry, the sheer volume of firepower that an army could unleash was unmatched.
And that first volley of rockets was just the beginning.
As the smoke began to clear and the rotting giant's form reappeared—
Heavy machine guns mounted on armored vehicles had already adjusted their aim.
The moment the monster came into view, the guns roared to life, spewing a hailstorm of bullets.
Rounds powerful enough to pierce steel sliced through the air, leaving spiraling shockwaves in their wake.
RIPPPPPPP!
The relentless barrage of bullets tore through the monster's decaying flesh, shredding chunks of rotten meat into a gruesome mist.
Next came the monster's blood-colored tendrils—vein-like appendages writhing unnervingly from its body.
Despite their unnatural resilience and ability to whip through bullets like paper, they ultimately stood no chance against the unyielding storm of firepower.
One by one, the dark red tendrils lost their eerie glow, severed and torn apart by the barrage, reduced to nothing more than tattered scraps of flesh.
Gone was their previous menacing aura.
Seeing the rotting giant overwhelmed by their firepower, the federal soldiers felt their spirits soar.
Their fear evaporated, replaced by the raw adrenaline of combat.
With renewed determination, they unleashed everything they had—rockets, bullets, grenades—hurling them at the monster as if ammunition cost nothing.
But no one noticed—
Deep within the monster's grotesque, decayed eyes, a flicker of something unexpected emerged.
Something cold.
Something... aware.
"GOGOGO!"
"Reload, now! The air force is almost here—we can't give this thing time to recover!"
"Got it, sir! We won't let that thing catch a break!"
"Hell yeah! I won't lie, I nearly crapped myself when I first saw this thing, but turns out, it's just a big weakling! Compared to the freaks in Harlem, this guy's a joke! Big for nothing!"
Seeing the seasoned veterans regaining their usual confidence, even cracking jokes with him, the officer leading the team couldn't help but smile.
But just then—
The blood mist, blasted into the air by the heavy machine gun fire, began to slowly drift downward.
It rained down, drenching the soldiers.
The moment the blood mist touched their bodies, a wave of unbearable stench—so putrid it made them gag—rushed into their noses and mouths.
"Ugh! This smell is goddamn awful!"
"Damn it, it got in my eyes! This is unbearable..."
"It's burning! What the hell? My face is burning!"
"Ahhh! My eyes—!"
"Wait! Something's not right! Everyone, take cover! Don't let the blood touch you—!"
The federal officer, who had initially dismissed the blood mist as harmless, realized something was terribly wrong. But by then, it was already too late.
He and everyone else whose skin had been touched by the blood mist felt an intense burning sensation. Within seconds, their flesh started to corrode as if drenched in acid, exposing raw, bleeding wounds.
For those whose eyes had been contaminated, the situation was even worse—they clutched their faces, screaming in agony as blood trickled through their fingers.
Clear streaks of crimson leaked from beneath their hands, evidence of the damage done.
"Damn it! Get to cover! Drag all the injured into the armored vehicles—!"
Roaring his command, the officer ignored his own pain and rushed into the mist, grabbing a soldier who had collapsed, clutching his eyes in agony. He pulled him back into the vehicle.
But in those few seconds, his exposed skin had already been eaten away, leaving raw, bleeding flesh. Even his uniform showed visible signs of corrosion.
And the horror didn't stop there.
The worst part was—the area around his wounds had begun rotting.
Signs of necrosis had already set in.
"Shit..."
Inside an armored vehicle, a colonel who had been acting as the temporary field commander saw the unfolding disaster and cursed under his breath. He immediately changed tactics.
He ordered all soldiers to take cover from the blood mist while continuing their assault. At the same time, he assigned a specialized team to rescue those suffering from the corrosive effects.
One wave of blood mist.
That was all it took to cripple the rocket launcher team.
And without the rockets hammering it down, the rotting giant—who had been forced into retreat—finally had a chance to breathe.
However, instead of using this opportunity to counterattack, the now-aware Wilson Fisk, whose will had resurfaced within the decaying monstrosity, made a completely unexpected move—
He turned and ran.
"No! Damn it!"
Stark's face darkened the moment he saw the creature fleeing.
His mind immediately raced through the consequences of letting this monster escape.
Without hesitation, he blasted forward in his Mark armor, cutting off the giant's escape route.
"J.A.R.V.I.S., target the head! Channel fifty percent power into extermination mode!"
"Understood, sir."
The moment Extermination Mode was activated, the Arc Reactor at the chest of the Mark armor flared brilliant blue, radiating a terrifying aura of destruction.
"Danger—"
Sensing the threat, the rotting giant lunged forward, raising a massive, decayed hand to swat Tony out of the air.
"Zzzzzzt—!"
Just as the rotting hand was about to smash into Tony—
A blazing blue energy beam erupted from his chest, tearing through the air.
"Zzzzzzt—!!!"
The colossal arm, unable to withstand the blast, exploded into fragments, flesh and bone disintegrating in the beam's path. But the attack didn't stop there—it shot straight for the giant's head.
BOOM!!!
For a split second, as the blue beam reflected in the rotting giant's eyes, a look of fear flashed across its decayed face.
But before that fear could fully form—
Its head was obliterated.
Shattered into a thousand pieces.
"I did it..."
Tony Stark allowed himself a brief moment of relief.
Fifty percent of his suit's energy had been well spent on this devastating attack.
But—
SPLAT!
From the monster's severed stump of an arm, a dozen blood-red tendrils shot out, writhing like a living net, lunging straight for Tony.
"Oh, come on! You're still not dead?!"
Cursing, Tony ignited his thrusters, attempting to shoot straight up.
But—
Before he could escape, two of the tendrils wrapped around his legs, yanking him downward with immense force.
Feeling himself being dragged, Tony had one thought flashing through his mind—
[Shit. Here we go again.]
Just as Tony braced himself for another round of getting smacked around—
FWOOOSH!
An AIM air-to-air missile streaked through the sky, traveling at supersonic speeds, and slammed into the rotting giant's severed limb.
BOOM!!!
The ensuing explosion tore the blood tendrils apart, blasting them into bloody chunks.
Taking the chance, Tony shot into the sky, escaping the danger.
And then, over his comms—
A familiar voice came through.
"Hey, buddy. Saved your ass again. Gotta say—you looked pretty damn pathetic just now."
Recognizing the voice, Tony glanced at his radar and spotted seven or eight fighter jets rapidly closing in.
Relief washed over him—
Until he actually processed what Rhodey had just said.
Tony's expression darkened. "Oh, perfect. I was gonna add you to the guest list for that party next week—you know, the one with all the beautiful women. But now? I changed my mind."
"Hey, hey, come on, buddy! I just saved your ass! Don't be petty!"
Tony smirked. "Petty? Heh. Not only am I taking you off the list for next week, but the week after that too."
"...You ruthless bastard."
After a brief exchange of banter, Rhodey's voice turned serious.
"Tony, pull back. We'll take it from here."
"What?"
Before Tony could ask further, he immediately understood what Rhodey meant.
Because—
In the next second—
He saw a dozen heavy missiles, streaking through the air, heading straight for the rotting giant.
BOOM!
The massive explosions rocked the battlefield.
