Boom!
The fiery red beam of destruction shot from the Destroyer's head, instantly reducing the Joker Eren, who was casually watching the commotion from the roof of the inn, to nothing but ashes.
Reclining lazily on Asgard's throne, Loki watched through the Destroyer's perspective as the Joker Eren was incinerated.
A sneer of disdain crept onto his sinisterly charming face.
Foolish mortal.
Since I already know the future you foresaw, why should I bother keeping our deal?
Loki never liked that mortal who once made him suffer humiliation.
And he despised the bleak and tragic future the mortal had predicted for him.
However...
His previous plans and the events that had unfolded recently made Loki realize that the so-called future described by that Midgardian magician was likely true.
For that reason.
Loki decided that while changing his so-called "future," that mortal magician who knew his fallen destiny had become even more of an eyesore.
Loki didn't want anyone knowing his "dark history."
Originally, he planned to find an opportunity to eliminate that Midgardian sorcerer.
But who would have thought that as soon as the Destroyer entered Puente Antiguo, Loki would spot that sorcerer among the townspeople?
So...
Upon seeing him, Loki wasted no time launching a direct attack.
After "seeing" the sorcerer perish under the Destroyer's attack.
Loki shifted his attention to his brother, who had already made his way to the streets of Puente Antiguo.
"Thor..."
Looking at Thor, who was surrounded by the Warriors Three and Sif, a surge of uncontrollable anger and jealousy welled up within Loki.
Why?
Why does everyone always look at Thor?
I am the King of Asgard now.
Why are their eyes always fixed on Thor?
Why is it that even though Father has stripped Thor of his powers and banished him to Earth, you all are willing to commit treason to descend here to find him?
I have done so much, and yet you all still only have eyes for Thor.
Father is like that.
Heimdall is like that.
Even you fools, the only ones I could call friends in Asgard, are like that.
Heh...
Just because I am a "bastard child" taken from Jotunheim?
Sitting on Asgard's throne, Loki's eyes grew colder as he gazed at the figures in his vision.
It took him quite some time to suppress the fury and growing murderous intent within his heart.
"No. Thor cannot die yet."
"At least, not now."
"According to that mortal sorcerer's prophecy, Odin is merely in a deep slumber and will wake up from the Odinsleep before long. If he finds out his own son died at my hands... Heh... I'm not strong enough yet to endure the wrath of the King of Gods."
Letting out a cold laugh, Loki thought to himself, "Besides, according to that mortal sorcerer, the power within Thor is only sealed. When he truly faces a life-and-death crisis, at the very moment of 'death,' Odin's seal will be broken."
"At that point, Thor's power will be fully restored, and with this experience, his Thunder Power will reach even greater heights."
"Unless I can destroy his body in an instant, Thor, with his fully restored powers, will be nothing but trouble."
Although Loki always looked down on Thor for his impulsiveness and recklessness, no one understood Thor's combat strength at his peak better than Loki himself.
At the very least, with only partial control of the Destroyer, Loki had no confidence in dealing with his "good brother."
Thinking this through, Loki forcefully suppressed his resentment toward Thor and redirected his gaze toward the Warriors Three and Sif surrounding him.
"Even if I can't deal with you, Thor, I can still deal with a weak goddess and a few idiots, can't I?"
··································
Boom. Boom. Boom.
The enormous Destroyer marched forward with heavy steps, approaching Thor and his group step by step.
It was as if the Destroyer was venting Loki's inner fury and murderous intent.
Along the way, everything that stood in the Destroyer's path, be it people or objects...
Was reduced to nothing but ashes by its crimson destruction beams.
Buildings surrounding the main street of Puente Antiguo were turning into ruins under the relentless attack of the Destroyer.
································
"Go! Go! Go!"
Under the threat of death.
Even without S.H.I.E.L.D. agents actively evacuating them, the citizens of Puente Antiguo were fleeing the small town like madmen.
Amidst the chaos.
Thor quickly addressed Jane and Dr. Erik, "Jane, Dr. Erik, you need to leave. The Destroyer's attacks are not something you can withstand."
Hearing Thor's words, Jane couldn't help but ask, "What about you?"
Thor embraced Jane and whispered into her ear, "Don't worry, I'll be fine. Once this is over, I will come find you. Trust me."
Seeing Thor and Jane's intimate moment, Sif couldn't help but clench her weapon.
But when she thought about how short-lived Midgardians were compared to the Asgardians, Sif forced down her displeasure.
Hmph!
As the future King of Asgard, Thor's destiny ensures that his future queen cannot be a mere Midgardian.
No matter how close they are now, they are destined never to be together in the end.
At most... it's just a fling.
After comforting herself, Sif turned her head away and addressed the Warriors Three.
"Volstagg, Fandral, Hogun, let's go stop the Destroyer and see if we can disrupt Loki's control."
"Got it!"
With those words, the Warriors Three prepared themselves for battle.
Boom!
A fiery red beam of destruction shot from the Destroyer's head, instantly turning the Joker Eren, who was casually watching the battle from the inn's roof, into ashes.
Loki, lounging lazily on Asgard's throne, watched through the Destroyer's vision as the Joker Eren was reduced to nothing.
A disdainful smile appeared on his sinisterly charming face.
