Chapter 9 - First Steps and New Discoveries

"Young Master Thomas, while not lacking in magical talent, chose to join the knight order because he felt swordsmanship suited him better. Although the knight trainees are considered apprentices until they reach adulthood at fifteen, it is a merit-based system, so I imagine Young Master Thomas will be assigned to a unit in no time."

"As for Young Miss Thalia—and most young ladies, really—at ten years old, they must choose between entering the magic academy or completing their academy education and beginning bridal training. Since Young Miss Thalia has strong magical abilities, she will likely be invited to the magic academy. Young Master Greyson, while not as powerful as Young Miss Thalia, is also gifted in magic, so it will be interesting to see whether he chooses the magic academy or the knight order."

Tama spoke with a bright, cheerful smile as she explained.

Ohh, I see.

I'll be enrolling in the academy soon, too… Heh heh… I'll get to watch all kinds of fantasy BL unfold before my eyes.

Oblivious to the rather questionable thoughts running through Rafayel's mind, Tama simply smiled at his expression.

"Are you feeling comfortable, Young Master Rafayel? You seem to be in a good mood."

After being dressed in clean clothes, Rafayel was brought to the dining area for breakfast.

His father had already left for work, and his siblings were also out, so he ended up having breakfast alone with his mother.

To his surprise, he was mostly able to use a spoon and fork on his own.

As he managed to eat by himself, both his mother and Tama praised him.

Encouraged by their words, he continued his meal.

After breakfast, Rafayel returned to his room… only to realize he had nothing to do.

So, he decided to practice walking.

Gripping the bed and the sofa for support, he wobbled back and forth across the room.

However, after repeating this process several times, his legs quickly grew tired.

I should have plenty of stamina, but my muscles are too weak, so I get exhausted so fast…

Not wanting to overdo it and be unable to do anything later, he stopped at a reasonable point.

Alright! Next, I'll learn this world's writing system!

Thanks to his previous life's experience of devouring BL novels online, he had already gathered knowledge on what to do first if he was reincarnated into another world.

Without hesitation, he proceeded with his plan.

He grabbed a random book from the bookshelf in his room.

Wow… I can read this! This is amazing! This cheating abilities are the best! Thank you, God!

Almost every book he picked up was readable without effort.

Though, I guess it's because of the time period… The phrasing is too complicated. Is there something simpler?

Thinking that, he reached for a book on a higher shelf, one that he could barely grab by standing on his toes.

Ohh! [The Beginner's Guide to Magic]! This is exactly what I was looking for!

Feeling excited, he quickly flipped through the pages.
