The car ride back from the after-party was drenched in silence, but not the comfortable kind. Logan Mason's jaw ticked, fingers drumming restlessly against his thigh. Aurora Sage sat beside him in the backseat, eyes fixed out the window, unmoved by the storm brewing beside her.
Neither of them had spoken since they left the set.
Not since Sonya had tried to kiss Logan again in front of the paparazzi.
Not since Aurora had disappeared from his line of sight during the wrap-up party without a word.
Logan exhaled sharply. "You disappeared."
Aurora didn't turn. "You were busy."
"With what? Fending off Sonya's desperate attempts to make headlines?"
A faint smirk tugged at her lips, but it didn't reach her eyes. "You let her kiss you."
Logan turned sharply. "She kissed me. You think I wanted it?"
"You didn't stop her."
That stung more than it should have.
Logan leaned closer, voice dropping, dark and rough with frustration. "I only want you. I've made that obvious, haven't I?"
