A female voice emanated from the jade talisman, saying, "Big brother?"
John, hearing the female voice, quickly moved his eyes around, trying to locate the source. His gaze landed on the talisman at Jo Lee's waist. Jo Lee opened his mouth, about to speak, but John reacted instantly. He tightened his grip on the Qi-woven threads. Jo Lee remained still, unable to utter a word, before his body erupted in sprays of blood and fell apart, cut into pieces.
John slowly walked towards the remains of Jo Lee, or what was left of him, and thought, Damn, I was only going to take his clothes before killing him. Now I have to find another Skyfall Sect disciple.
He bent down, reaching into Jo Lee's remains, and picked up the jade talisman.
The female voice said again, "Hey, big brother? What's wrong?"
John looked at the talisman and thought, So he was trying to inform his sister. He could have ruined my plan. John raised his other hand to his face, infused Qi into his mask, and his face suddenly morphed into that of Jo Lee. He then infused Qi into the talisman and spoke into it in Jo Lee's voice, "I'm just checking to see if you're okay, Mei Lee."
Mei Lee's voice came from the talisman, "I'm fine, big brother."
John, in Jo Lee's voice, said, "Make sure to inform me if you encounter any danger."
"Okay," Mei Lee replied, and John stopped infusing Qi into the talisman, holding it in his hand. He looked down at Jo Lee's remains and smiled. Ghostly flames appeared on his other hand, and he said, "I'm just going to make sure you don't come back to life."
Before John could burn Jo Lee's remains, he saw something shining within them.
