"Excuse me?"
Jamie turned around, hoping not to see anyone. Maybe it was some kind of hallucination.
No matter how much you pray sometimes, things don't change. She found a guy standing before her. He was drunk. Now, drunk people at places like these are dangerous. They could just involve her in a problem.
"Yes, sir?"
"Do you know the way to Mont Street?"
If he was really asking for directions, it was good. Otherwise, she didn't know what would happen.
"I don't know. I'm new here!"
She didn't stop now. She nearly ran out without looking back. It was as if a snake were chasing her.
Her hovercar was waiting for her. She quickly started it and drove out of the building's perimeter.
"That guy, he was intentionally looking for you."
Sawyer's voice sounded again.
"Huh, why?"
"Maybe because you look beautiful."
She thought of all conspiracies, but this was a direction she had never walked.
