She was thinking about how people got superpowers. It would be exactly random. Anyone with an affinity for a certain power would be attracted to its corresponding object. Jamie had understood the basic mechanism of how it worked.

"What you get is what you are made of. What resonates with you is your power. So, among everything that's placed here, people will be attracted to the power they would have had if everything were normal. I just attached their powers to external objects."
