Without even realizing it Davi had returned back to his home, the run down shack.
However he was yet to notice it as he was still reliving the joy of coming out alive from that hellish torment.
More so he remembered that he has yet to pick anything from the asura system based on his rewards from the previous night.

"Just a measly 5 Exp points and 2 Soul points for as a reward?
I deserve more than this!!!" Davi thought inwardly feeling extremely cheated.
Now however he knew the importance of completing his missions.
From his observation also he realized that in as much as the punishment could give him Exp and soul points respectively the same could not be said for AP points.

"It's high time I collect my reward from the previous night" Davi thought.

Davi furrowed his brows, as he read through the options, this time however he realized that the price to purchase each item was 0AP.
Thinking of this he came to two conclusions, the first being that when he chooses an item the prices would revert back to normal.
Secondly, which was highly unlikely is that the system has gone insane and has given him the opportunity to pick all.

"That said, what do I need now the most?" Davi thought to himself.

Yet it was hard to conceal his excitement.

While Davi was undergoing his punishment, something astonishing was going on with Russell.
Right now, not just his appearance, his demeanor and a thick nen energy revolved around him.
Russell had awakened!
He had stepped into the world of mages without needing to go through the awakening test… tsk, even Jin the Magic acolyte could not even be compared to Russell right now.

After Russell arrived under the apple tree, he let the calm breeze wash over him as he watched sunset across the horizon.

Looking at the two emerald bottles that contained the strange liquid, he thought inwardly.
"Mother, Father are you both alive?
Why did you abandon us to the slums?

Who really are you?" Russell thought.
Turns out Russell didn't tell Davi the whole truth for he was afraid that it would break him the more, he chose to carry the burden of seeking his parents since Davi could not see.

"Ughh… Disgusting!" Russell said immediately after.
The liquid tastes like sour lime mixed with vinegar, however he didn't have the time to mull over that as a transformation immediately took place.
In this new world of magic, to be called a mage, one needs to satisfy at least one condition and that was to feel the nen energy.
Nen is everything to a mage, the moment a mages stops feeling Nen it is equivalent to him being crippled.
Right now, Russell sat in a lotus position with the nen energy swirling around him.
Something broke inside him like a barrier that sealed his powers finally broke free.
His bones cracked as he grinned his teeth resting the pain as the transformation continued.
Slowly his dark raven dark hair started to change turning dark blue and his pupils turned emerald green.
His skin rapidly absorbed the nen energy around him slowly filling up his being.
Russells skin slowly regained its vibrant color all the scars and burns from working in the mines these past years slowly receded.
Right now Russell looked totally different, he had finally awakened, or to be precise his sealed magic energy was finally realeased.
As he opened his eyes, he looked down on his hands noticing all the scars where gone. A smile creeping across his lips.
"Mother wherever you are, your son has AWAKENED!"

In the northern continent at the depths of a mountain peak an old man sat as he forged a weapon immediately he looked up and smiled.
"The young lord has finally awakened… But why can I only sense one of them?"
The old man thought sadly he could not do anything but wait till the time is right.
"Grow strong and fast young lord the coming era will be deadly… you must survive"
With that he continued hitting his forge with his massive hammer.

As Russel looked up he realized that he could see the stars realizing he had stayed up late he decided to get dinner from town with 10 bronze rubies before heading home.
"Davi must be starving" he thought.
