Grey was in finally approached the massive square gate, surrounded by other carriages. As they arrived, the driver showed a document to the guards at the gate, who allowed them entry.
Grey gazed out of the carriage, wide-eyed, marveling at the sight before him. People were moving in every direction, many walking on foot, others gliding effortlessly through the air with the aid of wind magic. The streets were alive with activity.
The buildings towered above him, not a single one showing signs of disrepair. They were stunningly designed, elegant and grand, reminiscent of Lord Cedric's mansion.
As the carriage rolled forward, Grey spotted a few stalls and shops on the side, their owners exchanging goods with passersby. The busy people used silver and gold coins for their transactions, walking with purpose.
