No matter how much Logan gave Angelica, a life-saving debt was still a life-saving debt.
As long as Logan was alive, Angelica would have endless opportunities to use that debt to manipulate him. And when it came to truly repaying a life-saving favor, the only real equivalent was a life for a life.
Logan seemed to read her thoughts and didn't deny it.
"Actually, I already repaid that debt—four years ago."
Four years ago… Selina was taken aback.
"Angelica saved my life, and not long after, I saved hers. One day, four years ago, she showed up covered in blood and asked me to take her somewhere."
Logan nodded slightly. "Wouldn't you say that repaid the debt?"
Selina nodded slowly, still stunned. It did… but for some reason, hearing Logan talk about it filled her with a strange sense of familiarity.
Suddenly, a strange thought flashed through her mind.
"Logan, if the person who saved you four years ago was me, wouldn't that be nice?"
