Lilia stepped out of the bathroom, her hair slightly damp—but not too damp. She had promised herself she wouldn't act awkward or think about what she had searched up in the bathroom earlier.
Keeping her head low, she stepped forward. 'Oh please, Lilia, don't act awkward. Please, Lilia, don't act awkward. Please—' Her internal chant repeated like a broken record.
'Raise your head and be normal.'
Then, she looked up—and froze.
Zethan was standing and just about to head toward the bathroom. She exhaled quietly, relieved he was going to shower like he usually did after she was done. But to her horror, he stopped right in front of her.
Her eyes widened. No. No. No. Not now.
Why now?
She slowly lifted her head, trying to look as normal as possible.
Zethan tilted her chin up, leaning in slightly, a teasing smile on his lips.
"Why are you so flushed?" he asked.
Lilia turned her head, forcing a response. "The water… hot water," she muttered.
