Olivia left the ballroom, searching for her sister. As she walked down the passageway, she felt a sense of unease. She couldn't shake off the feeling that someone was following her. She quickened her pace, her heart beating faster.
Just as she was about to turn back, she saw the silhouette of her sister standing in the passageway. Olivia's eyes narrowed, and she approached Drae cautiously. She saw Drae talking to a man, and Olivia's instincts told her to intervene.
Drae, what are you doing out here? Olivia asked, her voice firm but concerned.
Drae turned to her, a look of surprise on her face. "Olivia, I was just...admiring the castle," she said.
Olivia's eyes flicked to the man standing beside Drae. She saw the way he was looking at her sister, and she knew she had to get Drae away from him.
I think it's time we got back to the ball, Olivia said, her voice firm.
Drae nodded, and the two sisters made their way back to the ballroom. Mrs. Patton was relieved to see them, and she smiled warmly.
I'm glad you're back, girls,she said.
It's getting late, and we should retire for the night.
As they said their goodbyes and made their way to their rooms, Matt was having a different experience. He had encountered a rude young master who had insulted him, but Matt had stood his ground.
I don't think you should speak to people like that,Matt said, his voice calm but firm.
The young master sneered, but Matt's courageous manner had impressed the people around them. They nodded in approval, and the young master backed down.
Meanwhile, Mr. Patton was having a great night. He had met many lords and secured sponsorships for his business. He was beaming with happiness as he made his way to his room.
As the night drew to a close, a big news was lingering in the air for the Pattons.
The Pattons, retired to their rooms, exhausted but happy. They had had a wonderful night, and they were grateful for the opportunity to mingle with the nobility.
But as they drifted off to sleep, they all went to bed with their curiosity stuck in their guts, only their parents new what the news would be, the happy squeals of Mrs Patton echoed around the room.
They couldn't wait to hear the great news.
Soon and it was morning they kids woke up earlier than usual which surprised Mrs Patton. They washed them selves as there waited for the long awaited information withheld from last night. Soon Mr Patton joined , after having their morning meal the old man cleared his throat.
Yesterday was a wonderful one, I got to meet alot of people both commoners and nobility a delight but first we must address the situation which we regretfully withheld from you all.
Looking at Olivia the oldest, you must have wondered why they were a lot of unusual honorifics about your mother and I'm aware she barely spoke to y'all on her childhood, you only new, your mother had nothing to lack growing up.
Turning to Mrs Patton, she continued the conversation.
First I must apologize for this case my children but I didn't want y'all to go after what was sealed shut.
I am a high born .
