Xia Yuqing pursed her lips slightly, a faint, knowing smile tugging at the corner of her mouth as she carefully masked her amusement.
She began walking forward at a deliberately slow pace, pretending not to notice the man trailing her. When she reached a perfume counter, she stopped and leaned forward to test a scent, all the while using the mirror behind the display to check if Lu Junhan was still following her.
Sure enough, there he was.
His tall figure stood not far from her, flipping through the pages of a magazine in a nearby bookstore. However, it was clear he wasn't paying any attention to the articles inside; his gaze was locked firmly on her.
Xia Yuqing frowned ever so slightly.
Was he planning to say something? Or was this a weak attempt to intimidate her?
If he thought that, he was gravely mistaken. He had picked the wrong woman to try and unsettle.
