Inside a rotating restaurant.
This restaurant offered a mix of Chinese and Western cuisine. Li Yun, accompanied by Gu Yanran, arrived at the place.
Not knowing exactly what to order and with his stomach growling with hunger, Li Yun decided to have all the restaurant's signature dishes brought to the table.
"Please wait a moment. The dishes will be ready shortly," said the waiter politely before quickly leaving.
As soon as he was out of earshot, the waiter informed the manager about the peculiar request from these two customers, who had ordered dozens of dishes.
Although they both appeared to be wealthy individuals, such an extravagant order deserved to be reported.
The manager, intrigued, thought that perhaps a large party had visited his restaurant, and out of curiosity, he decided to take a look.
However, what he saw completely shocked him: that man was none other than Li Yun, the richest man in Jinling!
"Mr. Li! I didn't know you would honor us with your presence. I apologize for not welcoming you properly!" exclaimed the manager, quickly approaching with a completely servile attitude.
Li Yun was a figure whom no one in the city could afford to offend. If he were angered, not only would the restaurant be at risk, but so would its survival in Jinling.
"Mr. Li, if you need anything else, please let me know. I am at your service!" added the manager. Although Li Yun did not respond, the manager did not feel uncomfortable and continued speaking enthusiastically, fearing to upset the magnate.
"There's no need for such fuss. I just came to eat. Go handle your business and don't bother me during the meal," said Li Yun with a wave of his hand, making it clear he didn't want any interruptions.
As he enjoyed his time with Gu Yanran, any intrusion was like a bothersome fly.
"Understood, understood! I'll go to the kitchen to check when the dishes will be ready," said the manager, leaving after a few polite words.
Soon after, he returned with the dishes.
"Mr. Li, all the dishes you ordered are now served. I wasn't sure which wine you would prefer, so I brought this bottle of 1982 Château Lafite. If you don't like it, please let me know, and I'll change it immediately."
"That's fine, this will do. You can leave now," Li Yun responded.
"Of course, of course!"
The manager didn't dare stay any longer and left again.
Gu Yanran then uncorked the wine bottle and poured a glass for each of them.
"Sir, I toast to you," said Gu Yanran with a soft smile, raising her glass.
"Cheers!"
They clinked their glasses and drank in one go.
After a few drinks, Gu Yanran's face began to blush, making her even more radiant.
Fortunately, Li Yun's attention was focused on satisfying his hunger, unaware of the changes in Gu Yanran.
Otherwise, before the main meal, he might have opted for a "dessert."
During the meal, Gu Yanran acted almost like a servant, attending to every need of Li Yun.
"Don't worry so much about me. You haven't eaten anything since last night. Sit down and eat something," Li Yun told her.
"If the master isn't satisfied, how could the servant dare to eat?" replied Gu Yanran, looking at him with sparkling, tender eyes.
"Well, little one! Are you daring to seduce me? Don't you fear I'll punish you right here?"
"Go ahead, try it! Let's see if you have the guts or just the intention," she retorted with a mischievous laugh.
Gu Yanran, once shy like a green apple, now appeared much more mature and confident, probably due to the events of the previous night.
"Alright! I'll show you what I'm capable of," exclaimed Li Yun, embracing her while his hands confidently roamed.
However, being in public, he made sure not to go too far, limiting himself to a series of caresses.
Half an hour later, Li Yun felt completely satisfied.
For him, carnal pleasures were just an addition; he wasn't going to get lost in them forever. His real goal was something else.
"Let's go, we're done here. Let's pay and head home," said Li Yun as they left the dining room.
The manager, who had been waiting outside, hurried over.
"Mr. Li, did you enjoy your meal?"
"It was fine. How much is it?" Li Yun asked, pulling out a bank card.
"Mr. Li, it's an honor that you came to my restaurant. I couldn't charge you."
"Then, are you suggesting I eat for free?"
"No, no! I didn't mean that, I…"
"Do you think I'm lacking money? Charge me!" said Li Yun, cutting off the manager.
"Of course, of course! I'll take care of it immediately."
"Mr. Li, the total is 68,500 yuan. Here's your card. Please keep it."
After leaving the restaurant, Gu Yanran asked:
"Sir, where are we going now?"
"For now, I'll take you home so you can rest. You must have been exhausted yesterday and need to recover," Li Yun replied.
"Sir, you're so bad!" exclaimed Gu Yanran, pretending to be angry as she tapped him on the chest before leaning against him with a sweet expression.
When they arrived at the Li household, Ah Xiang hurried over.
"Sir, there's news. About the person who asked me to find, it seems we have some clues."
"We'll talk about that later," Li Yun responded, gesturing to silence him. He then looked at Gu Yanran and said:
"We're home now. Go rest. I have things to attend to."
"Alright, I'll go to my room."
Although she wanted to stay with him, she understood that Li Yun had important matters to resolve.
Her goal was to be useful to him, not to become a burden.
