Two Moons Later
The sound of crashing tides doused the sound of her footsteps.
Isadora adjusted the shawl and the rest of the attire she wore. It was the Serpent's. Thankfully, it wasn't too big for her, but it wasn't small either.
She walked up the stairs to the top deck. Her body got drenched instantly from the pouring rain.
The sea had not been still for a long time, and the storm got worse. They could barely navigate properly, worrying about getting swept away or lost.
But Thornfoot mentioned repeatedly that they were on the right track. Their lives were in that dirtbag's hands, and Isadora did not like that thought.
That Fae was selfish and cunning to the bones. He did things that only benefited him.
"We'll take the boat from here!" Thornfoot yelled through the roaring thunder and the clamant ripples colliding into the ship.
