Chapter 1 - Return [1]

The world was so cruel. Angel lost his parents at the age of 4 due to a conflict with his father's work. He watched as everything was snatched from him, parents, siblings, memories and love but... He gained something in the midst, hatred.

The Obsidian Court, a shadow alliance of every known most greatest and prominent criminal organization in the world. They shaped the laws and government of the underworld, being the greatest power known and was given the term Code Zero.

Code Zero, a term given to the 9 individuals in the Obsidian Court, gaining their reputation for having the power of rivaling the military and political power of countries, in other words, a world class threat.

The Obsidian Court has 8 seats and only one for the Overseer. The Ace, the enforcer of the court. The War Advisor, the mastermind of all operations, coups and warfare. The Talent Scout, responsible for recruitment, infiltration and manipulation. The Executive, keeper of the court's wealth and the architect of the court's economic empire. Commander, the manager of discipline, order and loyalty in the court. Lieutenant, the court's elite direct-action specialist, the court's executor. Quartermaster, responsible for logistics, supply chain and armament production. And lastly, the Deputy, the court's internal regulator, and keeper of balance between all the seats.

In the land of Tijuana, inside the main base of Cártel Del Eclipse.

Inside an office filled with men in black suits with gold hints and wearing a black helmet with gold in the middle, holding rifles in their arms as they watch two people, one kneeling despite having a chair while one sits, wearing a suit with gold hints in the collar.

"Deputy, I greet the court's humble presence."

"El Eclipse, calm down, I've just reached my 20's, you're making me feel old already."

"I'll cut to the chase, you know what you did wrong."

"I was wrong! I was swayed by the rewards, please forgive me great Deputy!"

"Come sit first, it's hard talking to you like this."

El Eclipse obediently followed.

"Let's settle your sins with this."

Thud, a golden magnum and a single bullet was placed on the table. He inserted the bullet inside and rolled it before putting it down on the table.

"Let's play a game that I learned from a bratva, it's called Russian roulette."

He spun the magnum around to see who would get the first chance.

"A chance to kill the Deputy!"

El Eclipse repeated it in his mind.

As the magnum stopped in El Eclipse's direction, he took the magnum and aimed it on his chin before aiming it at the Deputy.

"Adios!"

He pressed the trigger but his hand exploded off.

"Argh!"

"Seriously, that was my favorite magnum. Did you seriously think I'd play a game with you? I knew you'd try that so I asked the Quartermaster to get me a mine in the shape of a bullet."

He watched him writhe in pain as he held his hand.

"Please... Spare the cartel, my sons! They had nothing to do with my decision!"

"Then you should've had second thoughts first before trying to issue a rebellion behind the Commander's eyes."

The deputy stood up from his seat and walked to the door.

"Adios."

He walked away as gunshots filled the room. As he stepped outside the building, he watched the men in black suits with gold hints on their collars, wearing a black helmet to cover their faces, burn down the factories, the corpses and the farms that gave the Cartel's once powerful reputation as Mexico's most dangerous.

"Good work my lord."

A white long-haired man that wore a butler's suit stood in front of the base's main gate, waiting beside the obsidian colored Rolls Royce.

"Alfonso, head to the meeting point."

"Yes."

Both entered the car and drove away to one of the Obsidian Court's private beach in Sierra De La Costa Grande, Guerrero. They were met with gun men that wore a different suit and helmet colored pure obsidian, marking as no seat's force but the court's. They checked the vehicle and its passengers before allowing the entrance.

They were then greeted by the mansion's caretaker, Elzequie Armenta.

"Greetings to the Deputy. All power to the seat, whose shadow shapes the world."

A 62 year old man in a suit, greeted with a gentle bow.

"I'll be going, Alfonso, stay with sir Armenta."

"Understood."

He walked to the grand hallway, floor made of polished obsidian tiles and black painted walls that felt like walking in the darkness.

Two guards stood, wearing the black helmet. They opened the door that led to a small conference room.

On the table were tablets held by the men, each wearing a helmet that represents the seat they follow. The tablets were in voice calls and on the big screen were the overseer's.

"It's been a long time."

The deputy sat in the middle where a mic stood for his voice.

"For the meeting to be held, I expect this is worthy of our attention."

A female voice, coming from the Talent Scout's tablet.

"If this doesn't pique my interest, I might just kill you."

A young adult's voice, coming from the Lieutenant's tablet.

The seats chatted until the Overseer spoke.

"Silence."

Once silence took the room, the voice of the War Advisor took in.

"An image will be presented to you all."

The image of a flash drive was flashed in everyone's screens.

"That is..."

"With the Quartermaster's ability and the Executive's funding, a weapon capable of plunging the world into submission has been created."

"!?"

The Deputy's expression was in shock.

"This drive holds every information of the world's elites! We have always stood in the dark shadows of the underworld. Now, we hold the key that opens the gates of hell to the surface!"

"Our power will now reach the continents, not just countries but the world shall fear us."

"Though it is a shame, the court has yet to retrieve it as it was hidden meticulously by its vengeful creator."

"As one who has been given by the overseer's authority, whoever's seat who finds the drive shall immediately be given to the court's ruling."

The Deputy watched, knowing the effect of this information on him as he is the one responsible for mediation of chaos between seats.
