Chapter 28 - Chapter 28 the village

Silver stood silently, gazing over the distant watching the village and ther people. From the cliff beside him, Emily approached to him.

"They're getting close," she said. "Did you get it?"

Silver smiled. "Yes."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a golden badge engraved with the word Power.

Still staring at the stone in front of them, Silver use his black flames to destroy magical circles glowing faintly on its surface that he created to get the badge. "Who would've thought I'd find it here? Just in a few villages... and we get what we want our plan it's just fine."

Emily nodded. "So the map was true after all."

"Let's move before they find us it's a rare items after all ," Silver said.

Elsewhere...

Halfad led a group of halflings with carts full of empty boxes down a winding green road toward the Hyena village. From atop his large beast, he muttered.

"Ugh... why are they doing this again? Why now in that time it's strange they can't be contact with each others ?"

Inside one of the boxes at the back of the cart, Halfy and Redly were squeezed together.

"What a tiny place you find to us halfy," Redly whispered.

"Stupid! Don't talk—they'll hear us," Halfy hissed.

"I'm not stupid, you're dumb," Redly whispered back.

One of the hafling Gon near the cart glanced suspiciously at the boxes, but the beast pulling it veered off slightly, drawing attention away.

"You'll eat when we arrive," Gin muttered, thinking the beast was just tired.

Pothelmir just looking at them and thinks did they forget to feed them again.

At the front, Murad's red hair ruffled in the wind. "Something's off," he said. "They're never this organized. Someone must be leading them."

Halfad scowled. "What are they up to again?"

The rest of the group remained quiet. Everyone sensed something was wrong. Something in the Hyenas' behavior wasn't normal and they know it.

When they finally reached the village, Halfad stopped, staring in shock.

"What madness is this...?" he muttered.

The villagers stood in the streets, their movements jerky, their eyes vacant. Their clothes were tattered, their expressions blank—as if they no longer cared about anything, but the most weird thing they was smiling.

Murad narrowed his eyes. "This place... it's more chaotic than ever."

Suddenly, a large hyena with a chunk of raw meat in his hand stepped forward.

"What brings you here?" he growled. "Leave now, unless you want to deal with my dagger!"

Murad took a step forward. "Are you out of your mind did you eat so much that you forget me already?"

Halfad, staring hard at the hyena's face, said, "Look at their eyes... they're all red."

Without warning, the big hyena lunged, dagger raised—but Murad blocked the attack effortlessly.

"Come back to your senses," he said coldly. "You're no match for me. Not even all of you together at once ."

But it was too late.

The villagers began pouring into the streets—men, women, even children. All of them had the same glowing red eyes. They wielded whatever they could find—sticks, broken tools, old weapons. And as one, they shouted:

"We will take whatever we want!"

Then a voice rang out from one of the boxes.

"You have nothing! Everything you own is ours now, you filthy thieves! Get out and prepare to be beaten!"

Redly popped his head out and added, "We'll hit you so hard, you won't even remember why you came!"

Murad and Halfad said in unison, "What a mess..."

Then, another voice came from the center of the crowd—calm, quiet, yet terrifying in its certainty.

"The children only chase what they want... never caring what happens next what a kind souls they are until the ne dirty with there parents friends thought feed them illusion."

It was Silver. He stepped forward, a smile on his face calm as always a bit happier.

A few of the hyenas panicked and ran into the forest.

"Don't run!" Halfy shouted, jumping from the cart and chasing after them. "That's our stuff come back!"

Halfad turned to Murad. "You and I will handle things here. The rest of you, go after Halfy and then heynas, get them back!"

Then Gin and Gon following by pothelmir charged into the woods after Halfy.

Silver remained still, simply watching the chaos unfold.

A faint wind blew through the broken village, stirring the dust around his feet.

Then, without looking back, Silver whispered to himself:

"Now... let's see who survives the game."

His golden badge glowed faintly in his hand.

Somewhere deep in the forest, a strange howl echoed—unnatural, bone-chilling.

And far above them, the sky began to darken... even though it wasn't yet evening.
