The fighting became more intense by the minute as midnight drew closer and closer. Soon the moonlight of the full moon shone overhead and the beasts went wild with power.
Every man in the three clans' forces had been trained specifically to combat fog monsters. All the while, they frequently sent people in to practice killing isolated groups.
However, nothing they had experienced in all that time could compare to this. This was a full-frontal assault against the fog and all its inhabitants. This was a challenge to its very existence.
The heat was building up on this cold night as they cut down one beast after the other, only to have them replaced by a new swarm of beasts, each unfailing on the grand stage. It was blood boiling and extremely tiring.
But the night had only just begun.
