Draven walked down the hallway, thinking, Damn, that took longer than I thought. At first, it felt quite nice to receive so many gifts, but those blood-sucking bastards just kept on coming with that freakish smile on their faces.
I don't even know where in the hell they got gift wraps from. I thought this was supposed to be another world.
Draven suddenly stopped and raised his head upwards, his gaze landing on two figures above him, basically standing midair.
Draven acted like he didn't see them and continued walking, his hand still in his pocket and his other hand holding the bow. I should probably go to the kitchen to get something to eat before taking a nap, he thought.
"Hey kid, you clearly saw us," a voice said.
The two figures fell, landing behind Draven. They were two vampires, a girl and a boy who looked fifteen years old, with pale skin, red eyes, burgundy hair, and silly pointy ears.
The voice continued, "Why act like you didn't?" It was the vampire boy speaking.
Draven continued walking, his left hand still in his pocket and his right hand holding the bow, without even reacting to them.
The voice continued, "Hey kid, did you hear me, or are you just ignoring me?"
Draven, his left hand still in his pocket, kept walking without reacting.
The vampire boy said, "Still ignoring me?" He raised his right hand, and a liquid red as blood suddenly appeared, floating in the air and condensing into the shape of a spear.
He continued, "Kid, let's see if you can ignore this." The blood spear shot towards Draven, who was still walking. The blood quickly approached Draven, heading for his back. Draven quickly reacted by subtly moving his body to his left, dodging it. The blood spear pierced the ground beside him.
"Hey kid, I guess you couldn't ignore it," the vampire boy said.
Draven, with no emotion on his face, looked at the blood spear slowly disappearing and thought, So this is blood magic.
