Through the ornate full-length mirror, I studied the dress's elegant drape - how the metallic threads woven through the fabric created subtle ripples of light with every movement. The vision triggered an unexpected, hollow laugh that escaped before I could stop it. Sylvie's signature waterfall of perfectly styled silver hair flashed through my mind, I bet that trademark shade she maintained with weekly salon visits and expensive toning treatments.
