Arthur moved through the dense forest, his breaths ragged but controlled. The stranger…silent, dangerous…walked beside him, their presence like a shadow that refused to be shaken.
"Where are we going?" Arthur finally asked, voice edged with suspicion.
The stranger smirked but didn't slow their pace. "Somewhere safe… for now."
Arthur scoffed. "I don't believe in 'safe' anymore."
The stranger's red eyes gleamed. "Good. That means you're finally learning."
Branches snapped beneath Arthur's boots as he kept moving, his mind spinning with everything he'd learned. Nemesis needed his blood. Marius was playing into her hands. And now, he was being hunted by both his own people and the Queen of Darkness herself.
He was running out of options.
"You never told me your name," Arthur said, narrowing his eyes.
The stranger chuckled. "Names are powerful. You should know that by now."
Arthur exhaled sharply. "You're really going to make me drag it out of you?"
